Didn’t notice the missing fuses in as many as eight checks.

1694 The U.S. mistakenly sent Taiwan four fuses used to trigger nuclear warheads on ballistic missiles in late 2006.

The fuses contained no nuclear material, but are used to detonate the warheads of Minuteman ballistic missiles.
It was the second major nuclear security breach uncovered in just over six months, following the mistaken transfer of nuclear-armed cruise missiles from one U.S. base to another aboard a B-52 bomber in September.

Not much use since Taiwan has no nuclear warheads (That we know of)

Would Taiwan have been able to detect this device? They were just waiting for someone to pick them up maybe.
Nothing is secure forever it seems.
