Fortunately for Ms. McKeand, the flying weather was good.
One of the helicopters was reassembled for the rescue.
A Canadian Forces rescue helicopter landed on the rough Arctic ice pack yesterday morning to pluck an injured British adventurer off the frozen surface, ending Hannah McKeand's attempt to be the first woman to ski solo to the North Pole.

I think the only helicopter that could of done it in extream weather conditions was the US presidents new EH101, that would have embarrased Canada

It's not about which country had the better helicopter or got to her first. It's the fact someone WAS able to get her.

Whats a ride on a flying flimsey mobile worth? I think it was no secret she was attempting to solo it to the North Pole in Canada. She was just lucky the weather was bearable because I don't think those EH101's are available.

With the cost of jet fuel and the cost of flight crews? Multiple thousands of dollars, I bet.

Its up to Canada to get a retainer (money) before she tracked out. I personaly like the adventure and to complain now instead of before she failed is all after the fact.
