View Full Version : Hillary Caught in a Whopper of a Lie

This, from "Fact Checker" Michael Dobbs of the Washington Post:

Hillary Clinton has been regaling supporters on the campaign trail with hair-raising tales of a trip she made to Bosnia in March 1996. In her retelling, she was sent to places that her husband, President Clinton, could not go because they were "too dangerous." When her account was challenged by one of her traveling companions, the comedian Sinbad, she upped the ante and injected even more drama into the story. In a speech earlier this week, she talked about "landing under sniper fire" and running for safety with "our heads down."

Numerous reporters ... covered her trip. A review of nearly 100 news accounts of her visit shows that not a single newspaper or television station reported any security threat to the First Lady....

Far from running to an airport building with their heads down, Clinton and her party were greeted on the tarmac by smiling U.S. and Bosnian officials. An eight-year-old Moslem girl, Emina Bicakcic, read a poem in English. An Associated Press photograph of the greeting ceremony ... shows a smiling Clinton bending down to receive a kiss.... [CBS News] footage shows Clinton walking calmly out of the back of the C-17 military transport plane that brought her from Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany.

seems like Hillary is taking a cue from John Kerry and embelishing her "war" record.

John Kerry didn't have to embellish anything. Anybody who knows the real story knows he is a war hero. The man single-handedly rushed sniper nests and saved numerous other soldiers.

Documentation please, Pinochio.

Tell our resident Chump, that Kerry was awarded a Purple heart
within the first 24 hrs. of being on Swift boat.
Kerry spent less than a full day in hospital for ALL 3 Purple Hearts.
Kerry did his own Documentaion for one of those 3 Purple Hearts,
something almost unheard of.

He rushed those nests because he is a war hero and that is what heroes do.

What have you ever done that can compare to that?

Travh20

Nothing, no one can compare to a real war hero like John Kerry. We all know real heroes get out of the war early on a technicality then turn around and testify against their brothers in arms as being brutal savages. With heroes like that who needs enemies?

John Kerry, war hero my ass.

Read this to find out what John Kerry was really like.

John Kerry wrote up his own recommendation for the Silver Star and stretched the truth beyond recognition. He killed a young VC who had already been mortally wounded by machine gun fire and who was carrying an empty RPG, actions that are closer to a war crime than heroic.

He received three purple hearts, one for a splinter caused by his own men's firing since there was never any return fire, one for a bruise on his arm when he fell against the bulkhead of his boat and one for getting some grains of rice in his ass when a grenade he threw into a hootch filled with rice exploded.

Some war hero.

I guess "war-like actions" are okay as long as a democrat or liberal does them.

Just maybe anyone who was shipped out to Vietnam was a hero, in the fact they came back alive.

And the fact they went at all, especially those who had the pull to avoid being sent there.

Couldnt blame them for that either. Wasnt the draft exclusive to working class kids in 60s America.

So what would you do Dharm? If you were back in the 60's, and were drafted to go to 'nam.. would you fulfill your duty as a citizen? or would you high tail your chicken ass up to canada or claim insanity or something. Surely your ego would be able to convince yourself that such "enlightened" fellows such as yourself shouldn't be used on the front lines... just let the pawns go first!

LMAO

Not entirely exclusive.

Personally, I would prefer a draft to private foreign mercenary armies.

Really anybody who serves is a war is a hero in my book. The includes Kerry - even if he milked it for all it's worth.

Now Hillary Clinton? - She's just a lying, coniving sack of shit - this Bosnia blatant lie is proof of that.

I think we should just hire the Chinese to fight our fights. Especially in Iraq. I bet they could get the job done a hell of a lot cheaper than we can.
