How can anyone actually believe that we really are not any safer now than on 9-11, or even less safe as some would believe? Lets see:
--taliban is gone, massive terorist training camps are gone, camps that had been pumping out terrorists for years, up to 20,000 in some estimates. Now American troops roam these hills, hunting down terrorists and killing them.
--We have all but 2 of the original top Al Queada guys in custody, and are sweating them down. They spill the beans as do all the terrorists when you get them alone. We have gutted tehri command structure, decimated their ranks, decimated their funding, they re a shell of their former selves.
--the murderous regime of saddam hussein is over, and millions of people are free. You can say what you want about the reasons, but you cant argue wih the results. Actually, you can, and have been, so never mind. even the capture of Saddam himself was nothing more than an attack point for the people who hate W.
--Liyan leader Khadafi has just announced he will dismantle all WMD and let in inspectors in un opposed. hmmmm, I wonder if it was the intense pressure from the UN that made him decide that, somehow I dont think it was the UN who changed his mind.
--Iran is now letting in inspectors, again, I highly doubt the menacing UN presence in Cypress had anything to do with this.
SO really, we are safer. For those of you who still believe in the "erupting arab street" and that we are "making them mad", I have news for you, they are already mad, what are they going to do, blow up the WTC and fly a plane full of passengers into the Pentagon? IF you believe in understanding and good will towards the terrorists is the best way to be safer, I implore you to look at the Clinton years, when all the leftists agree we were very enlightened and understanding of the arabs, and also see that there were more terrorists attacks during those years, and most went un answered. If anyone can prove to me we are less safe, plese let me know.
