Desperate times call for desperate measures. I am hoping you remember the problems we had with the USSR after WW2. Stalin made Saddam look like a school girl. At the time we had bigger fish to fry. At the time we supported Saddam, same thing. Iran was our bigger enemy, jsut as the Nazis were a bigger enemy than the russians. you take em as they come. as the old saying goes, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", of course all leftists today operate on this principle, as their strange behavior and sympathy for the terrrorists and saddam in the face of US 'imperialist aggression"shows.

FDR was a democrat, so that was OK. It's only bad if Republicans do it.

I wasnt trying to do the democrat republican thing, I was trying to show that sometimes you have to do the hard/bad things in the interest of the entire nation, and you cant always worry aobut the future when you got a gun to your head right now. but I know what you mean about the democrats getting a pass, but riding republicans asses into the ground. The liberals are classic holders of the double standard.
