Director/Screenwriter Martin McDonah has made a great black comedy with Collin Farrell,Brendan Gleeson, and Ralph Feinnes. It's about two Irish hitman sent from London to Bruges,Belgium to lay low after botching a job. The performances are first rate and the photography is excellent. The ancient city of Bruges is stunning. This is a very entertaining, witty blend of a dark comedy, supense thriller with sensitivity. You care about the two hitman. And what other movie do you get to see a couple of angry Irish hitman doing coke and hanging out with Dutch prostitutes and a dwarf that turns racist after a few lines?

Ha! I was about to start a thread about In Bruges! My wife and I saw it last weekend, a remarkable film. Admittedly, I didn't know beforehand that it was going to be as dark as it was, but very good, nonetheless.

I've never really given Colin Farrell much thought as a "real" actor, but he was quite impressive. And his partner, can't think of his name atm, played the "kind hearted hitman" role well, too.

The race war diatribe by the stoned dwarf had me laughing my ass off, too.

Brendan Gleeson was his partner. I agree he's a great actor. I was certainly surprised by the movie too. I just thought it was going to be just a comedy. If you go in thinking that you are really going to be in for a surprise.

This movie was really good. A lot better than a lot of stuff in theaters that's for sure. The two actors playing the hitmen are perfect. And the dwarf is funny too. He's a good actor as well.
