Actually, (according to my research of the IP Address and email address) carolinee is a fellow named Ethan. Ethan runs a software business out of the Chicago area, and offers a 2 gb online storage and backup service.

Online entepreneurs will often post a benign 'Hi, this is a lovely site you've got here' message, and then they go on to hock their wares in follow-on postings. One of our most frequent visitors to the Introductions forums over the past years (I won't mention his or her name, since he or she used 30 or so identities on here) was fond of that tactic, and in that case, the spam offered was of the MP3/music site variety.

I was personally just waiting for Ethan to post his first message of a spam-like nature, and then I was going to ban him.
As it is, perhaps our collective interest and concern will cause him to rethink his strategy, and to become a regular contributor and community member.

Do you remember the Spam hell where all the spam links go? Does that still exist and can these new people see it and post their shit there?
