I am watching the most massive and awesome thunderstorm I have ever in my life seen. It must be really far out at sea because I can't hear any thunder. The entire sky is lighting up. It looks like one of those movies where God is in the clouds and they are filled with light. Estimating the distance away it is it must be massive, miles across.

I always loved watching the storms roll in when I lived in Florida. During the summer they would come in between 3-6 or so everyday just about. Although they came from inland 90% of the time, unless the storm was tropical. Sometimes though, you will get a nice big one that forms over the sea, those are cool to watch.

Kind of miss those storms everyday. Had a lightning storm so bad one day it hit the roof of the house and made a flash of light in my living room. I thought a bulb burned out until I realized I didn't have any lamps on in the living room.

The best storm I ever seen though was the hurricane that hit offshore in August '99 in Miami. Was staying on "the island" better known as South Beach and sat outside for the first part watching the waves and the wind make good sized waves in the pool.

Best/worst storm I've ever been thru was the one and only time I took a cruise... outta Miami to the Bahamas. Remember the year (early 90's) when monsoons hit FL and they had a pic of a ship that beached itself on somebody's backyard in Miami? Never been so seasick in my life... and will never get on another cruise ship just in case lightnin could strike twice in the same place. *turns green remembering that trip*

Storms at sea are purty... IF one is on dry land looking out.
