You're running FreeBSD on a desktop? Dude, it's designed as a server OS. If you want a *nix-like OS that has easy-to-download packages, use Ubuntu.

I like FreeBSD

I thought I would like Ubunto too but I didn't. Fedora is a better PC OS for me but I had a few crashes with it and FreeBSD has a very good hand book for fixing problem like that.

Ports is a nice system. I've used Gentoo, and it's portage is similar, but the programs automatically compile from source. It makes for a hella fast system. You can set global flags to tell the system what parts of programs to compile in. It's a really cool system.

Thanks for talking about Gentoo I haven't tried it. The truth is I'm satisfied with FreeBSD because it installs on all my machines at home and is also considered the most stable platform out there.

I'm starting to use greasemonkey so I can install scripts to see the web video's out there.

No greasemonkey didn't help.
Napsterbater: I just read the other day that Gentoo is a FreeBSD platform. I'm going to try it thanks.

Gentoo is Linux, dude, not BSD. There is a Gentoo/FreeBSD port, however.
