Borg,

I don't care if you and SMW go at it hammer and tongs. Like Nappy says, that is part of what makes this site interesting.

I am merely saying that you are ot an innocent victim. You are as guilty as anyone of being overbearing, just as Nappy, me, and a lot of other posters are.

I at least give you props for being a poster who contributes to the conversation, something I can't give Overdose.

I've agreed on numerous occasions that I can be arrogant. I've made my mistakes, and I've apologized for them. This is not something I can say for the right-wing version of Overdose, i.e. SMW. I have never seen her apologize to anyone, admit to being wrong, or admit to her hypocrisy. I don't think it's fair to demand that a person be 100% reasonable, polite, and cheerful all the time, but I would certainly hope that they could admit to the occasions where they are behaving in a less than ideal fashion.

Case in point: I blew up at rendova. What'd I do? After I calmed down, I apologized, publicly. More than once, in fact. On the other hand, SMW called me stupid because I apparently "follow the trend" in politics rather than thinking for myself. That's not true, and I think you'd agree with me, no? Well, just a bit earlier in the thread, SMW said that she "stands by" calling me stupid, rather than apologizing to me.

Which person would you say is more respectful, Frogger? The person who knows he's mortal and cops to his mistakes, or the person who refuses to ever admit that she's wrong or apologize for being nasty?

Sorry, I stand by the one you did find. I didn't call you anything... the reference was made simply to point out how little thought it takes to follow the crowd. Actually, I remember when I wrote that line, I intended to say, "That's an oxymoron for "I'm stupid" and was intended for your friend OD as well. So I got a little carried away. You're still using it incorrectly, or using the wrong word.

It's kind of funny to see this when you're calling someone else 'stupid'. :)

Whenever someone shows SMW that she was rude without being provoked she says, "Don't be so sensitive" or "So, I got a little carried away!". As to try and justify what she did and make it seem like no big deal.

I guess she has an excuse for every insult she makes. But of course, all of our insults are wrong and disrespectful.

You nailed it.

I might agree with you.

Don't let the children get you down, SmartMouthWoman. Borg is acting like a little brat, pposting as if he is somehow superior to you and other posters. He decries your lack of respect for him while exhibiting a total lack of respec for others. This is not the first time Borg has depicted himself as above the fray and I doubt it will be the last.

Overdose is just being overdose, a whiney little drama queen.

At least Borg usually adds something worthwhile to the conversation. Overdose doesn't even do that. His total contributions consist of whining whining, whining.

Whiney, whiney, whiney is right. But OD isn't the only guilty party.

Borg complains that he's apologized and keeps on getting it when I already told him once I respected him for expressing remorse for his rudeness to Ren and was done with the discussion. But yet, here he is again, whining about the very same subject. What does the boy want... a gold star for admitting he was a jerk?

And then there's Sedan who's determined to 'teach' me the proper use of the word 'oxymoron.' Puhleese, children... give it a rest. You ain't in high school anymore and this ain't a popularity contest. If you don't like me, that's your problem. If I don't like you, that's my problem. Nothing in my life depends on your approval, so quit acting like you might or might not accept me if only I would...

Seriously, some of you take this place way too seriously. It's only a message board.

Would that you took your own advice. I think sedan is merely appreciating the irony, not "teaching" you anything.

Appreciating the irony to death, one might say. I suppose if it's proven beyond a reasonable doubt that I misused the word 'oxymoron' then it's OK to discount everything else I've ever said, huh?

Silly boys.

You shouldn't use concepts other people can't understand, Borg. You need to use small words of seven letters or less and lots of pictures to get something through to SMW.

As long as he gets in the last word on this subject, he really doesn't seem to mind what that word is.

Any particular reason you're running from one thread to another making snide remarks? Maybe you're just bored, eh?

Very much so. My company is short on work this week, I've been on my ass since Monday.

Why would you even suggest such a thing?

I discount most of what you say because it's irrational, not because you misused a word.
