Interesting. I'm not sure I agree with all of the entries - those from around the turn of the century (19th to 20th) were real innovative ideas that just didn't do the trick, as opposed to ... say the Lambo SUV or the exploding Pinto that should have either never gotten off the design board or stayed just a few minutes longer to get the rest of the bugs worked out.

Some of those aren't really bad cars - just ones that people didn't care for. There's nothing inherently wrong with a Jaguar X-Type - it's just not really a Jaguar.

the Model T

i'm so glad it's controls went the way of the wooden wheel. 3 levers, 3 pedals and none of them do what you expect them to do.

The guy compiling the list really seem to have a grudge for big autos and the Detroit scene in general. Most I could agree with, but a few, seemed their only crime was being bigger than the author deemed necessary. One or two were bad simply because he wanted them to be.

We had a Gremlin, I was too young to pay attention to the handling or such things. What I remember most was the arm that was supposed to hold the back trunk window up was broken. So dad used an axe handle. Hey it worked while we needed it to.
