Ah man!!

This has been around for quite some time.

The coloring of the scale is misleading. It places a much greater emphasis on quadrant than it should. Since it's a relative scale, the colors should be graduated, and even where the center lines are is quite arbitrary.

I stopped being impressed by the political compass about 3 minutes after I first saw it.
