Sometimes when I see a recognized serial spammer logging on, and attempting to post a thread in a given forum, I post a brief message such as the one I issued for aedtlgsp this morning.
(I want them to see that this is not just a soul-less computer waystation, but rather a community inhabited by concerned citizens.)

Then, once they are gone, and I know they have view my message, I delete the thread.
(Because it has served its purpose.)

In this case, Foolsworth jumped in and contributed an observation, and the thread developed a life of its own.

My Mom used to fix a dish,when I was a kid,that used Spam.
It was a Hawaiian meatloaf with pineapple on top.

I had forgotten about Spam with pineapple. When I was in college I used to make Virginia Spam. I would take Spam and put a few cloves in it, add pineapple, raisins and maraschino cherries and bake the whole thing. It was pretty good with mashed potatoes and a veggie.

I had a Freind who did drywall.He was a big Pot head.
But he loved to Cook,and he and his older girlfriend were
BiG Food snobs.They virtually bought only THE most expensive
stuff to put in their Refrig,which was loaded to the gills with so much
food,the door almost wouldn't shut.
I found out after having put up with their food hoity-toity,that Maggie
fixed him a sandwich for lunch,and it was always the same.
