So….Who Will Be The Next President, Clinton Or Obama? (http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/sowho_will_be_the_next_president_clinton_or_obama/)

It certainly won’t be John (the Manchurian Candidate) McCain.
McCain is by far the front runner for the Republicans right now, with Romney gone and Huckabee - who was, in my opinion, just hanging in the race to siphon votes from Romney because he and McCain have already made the backroom deal for him to run in the VP slot - is way, way back.

An interesting note - Democratic voters outnumbered Republican voters nearly 2 to 1 on Super Tuesday. That alone could foreshadow a very bad result for Republicans come November.

Right now Clinton and Obama are nearly tied. This is the point where the bloodletting usually really begins in an election but if you’ll notice the shots exchanged by the two of them have subsided from a few weeks ago. I suspect that there have been more backroom deals between the two of them. One - either - will be President and the other will go for the VP slot.

If Clinton gets the nomination the GOP will probably start trying to sling dirt on her and there is plenty of dirt to be found. The problem with that is this - that would work on most any other candidate. The press, however, won’t be all over it like the starving jackals they usually are, especially if the candidate they have dirt on is a Republican.

Most likely they would present stuff like that in their condescending way and make whoever brought it up look like shallow, vicious fools. As far as I can see, the Republicans blew this one in fine style.

You can bet that the Dems are pleased that McCain will be the candidate. They’ll beat him like a rented mule come election time. As of this point it’s just a matter of seeing which one of the two will be taking the lead dog role.
We should probably get used to the idea.

If you didnt want to comment all you had to do was shut your fucking mouth... If you felt this thread needed to be combined with one that is similar than by all means inform the moderators and have them combine it with the original thread you have in mind.

Either way the last thing I or probably anyone else wants to see is your terrible attempt at sarcasm, and the horrible attempt your going to make at the ensuing pissing contest that will form due to your asinine comments.

The only reason "conservatives" like Ann Coulter, Rush, and Sean Hannity are pissed off is because the Republican Party is actually thinking for itself, and not listening to these talking-heads anymore.

Do you know why real conservatives and Republicans aren't listening to these talking-heads anymore? Because they gave us Bush. And what did Bush do? He ruined the Republican parties reputation and name more than any other Republican President.

At least the majority of the Republican party has realized this -- it is sad LiquidFork has gotten there yet.

LOL. Not quite OD. What has happened is that the GOP has gotten caught up in the "big government / neo-con" crazies. It happened in the 70's and it took a Carter presidency to snap them out of it. When the Republicans start getting "cocky and spend-happy", and the Democrats start going right... it's time for a Democrat. Both of the Bush's have led down the same trail. It's like moon phases (but much more annoying). The majority of the GOP party (the voters, not the politicians) are holding their noses and wallets... not "thinking for themselves" as you put it.

Interesting point about Huckabee. I think that Romney WILL be on the ticket somewhere.

An interesting note - Democratic voters outnumbered Republican voters nearly 2 to 1 on Super Tuesday. That alone could foreshadow a very bad result for Republicans come November.

Ehh. Probably such a huge turnout because the most e-ville human in the universe, Hillary Clinton, was on the ballot.......it seems that even Democratic voters are not immune to the drumbeat of **Hate Hillary, Hate Hillary** that the Rightwing Media outlets have been drilling into the sheep's consciousness for 15 years. It may be that much of the Dem turnout was simply to vote for Obama so she could not get the nod.

If Clinton gets the nomination the GOP will probably start trying to sling dirt on her and there is plenty of dirt to be found.

Dirt?

I don't want her for president (far too conservative for me), but this ""plenty of dirt to be found"" is a new one on me.

I'd be curious to know what all this 'dirt' is, in your view LQ.

The problem with that is this - that would work on most any other candidate. The press, however, won’t be all over it like the starving jackals they usually are, especially if the candidate they have dirt on is a Republican.

Wow. You truly are living in Bizarro World. You have it exactly backwards.

A prime example; just look at the incident of Whitewater (which Clinton was involved in) and Harken Energy (which B*sh was involved in).

Do you honestly want to compare the Media coverage of those two events?!?!?

Half the people on this board have probably never even HEARD OF Harken Energy.

Clinton lost about $60,000 on the Whitewater deal, and millions of dollars were spent investigating it. Not to mention millions of pages of newspaper coverage being printed about it. Not to mention hearing it on the network news practically every night for a year.

B*sh, OTOH, using insider trading knowledge, profited about $850,000 on his sale of Harken stock. Shortly thereafter, Harken stock plummeted from $4 to $1.25. Yet you barely heard the Corporate Media in this country let out a peep.

B*sh did something about 20 times as sleazy and as crooked with the Harken deal as what happened with Whitewater, yet the coverage of the two is like daylight and dark.

You can bet that the Dems are pleased that McCain will be the candidate. They’ll beat him like a rented mule come election time.

I disagree. With the mainstream Media solidly --and I DO mean solidly-- in his corner, (which it will be, naturally) John McCain has an excellent chance if it is **the e-ville Hillary** that he's facing.

Dirt?

I don't want her for president (far too conservative for me), but this ""plenty of dirt to be found"" is a new one on me.

I'd be curious to know what all this 'dirt' is, in your view LQ.

I am guessing this was an invitation to show there will be plenty of dirt for a conservative media outlet to dig for,if Hillary manages to get asked to the big dance.

I find it hard to believe that you have not came across any mention of a Hillary scandal..... here are a few things I came across with a simple search engine request...

NOW remember... you only asked me to provide "dirt"... it doesn't have to be 100% true, nor does it have to be fair.... Remember........all "dirt" does in the political arena is put a persons name on the headlines in a unfavorable light..... It doesn't have to connect all the dots so to speak...

It is up the the press, and the American people to decide if it is important enough to dig a Lil deeper to see what it is all about.

Remember when Rather thought he had all the answers? He did manage to toss the dirt around, but in that case the American people and the media wanted to know the whole story and it backfired.. Some of these story's might do the same thing...Some might pan out... in all reality all they need to do is raise a few eyebrows and make a small percentage of people have a single negative thought about Hillary for president... and it is mission accomplished.

On a side note I have read your opinion that the country has been listening to the "hillary is evil" drumbeat for a long long time in an attempt to brainwash us into thinking hillary is evil.... If that is true, and you know it... she must certainly know it... why does she to date have so many questionable things surrounding her name? A biased media outlet can paint a very ugly picture I agree...but they need to buy the paint somewhere...

I am guessing this was an invitation to show there will be plenty of dirt for a conservative media outlet to dig for,if Hillary manages to get asked to the big dance.

No, I was not talking about what they --the Corporate Media-- can spin and invent. Quite the contrary.

I was talking about any actual *dirt* that the Media can bring to bear that has substantive facts to back it up.

Instead of giving me a dozen links to blogs and such where opinions are bandied about, just name for me the *dirt* that you think there is credible evidence for her having been involved in.

To reiterate............

I don't want her for president, but this ""plenty of dirt to be found"" is a new one on me.

I'd be curious to know, LQ.........what is all this 'dirt', in your view.

Take a couple of what you consider to be the most credible of your blog entries/links, and tell me how and why you think they comprise compelling evidence of *dirt* on her.
