A bit of a surprise, I thought Huckabee would bail before Romney.

I guess that means I will be voting for McCain.

Technically He suspended his campaign, more to legally be able
to recoup some of the $30 Million of his own money.
I guess that means any monies coming in he can set aside to
build up his campaign chest and recover.
Gave a good sppech today.I heard just last week that Laura Ingraham
was like maybe 4'10".It was Bill Cunningham,of 700 WLW Talk radio.
I though hw was kiddin around as he usually does.
I always thought Ingraham to be like 5'7" or so.
I know she loves to excercise {bicycle or hike}.She intorduced Romney today and he was a full head
taller. So I YouTubed and Miss Ingraham IS Short.
Miss Laura is a shorty pie.Kinda changes my Impression of her.
I don't Greta van Susteren who's definately short.Like maybe 5 ' even if that.

This is slightly surprising... I wonder who he will throw his support behind.

Well, this isn't terribly surprising but it is good news. "President Romney" are two words that would make me, eventually, a Canadian citizen.

Like a News anchor.Same with O'Reilly.The guys a Giant.6'5".
I knew about as mush as one could about someone,Ingraham
cept real personal stuff.
I woulda bet she was around 5' 6".
Have Listened and watched her for near 10 years.

I can't put my finger on it, but Romney had a bit of a weasel-ishness about him.

It is going to be a long boring road to November for the Republicans now that McCain has locked it up so early.

He will have to really work to keep his name in the news.

I blame Romney's problems on a Liberal media, who slimed him,
at every turn, since the new year began.
Romney was as close to a Reagan as possible.
He was labelled as the Rich Guys candidate.A Country Cluber.
Also, much was made of his Mormon heritage.
He came on real strong in the last 2 weeks though.
Has a chipper personality and isn't a sour apple, like McCain.
I think McCain cut some deals, back room style to curry favor
among Dinosaur Republicans,Like Jack Kemp etc. Now,Bill Bennett
is onboard with McCain, more because Kemp is his palsy.
It's the Good Old Boys Club and McCain.
I'm not buyin into it.
I Hope Rush and Sean and Laura and Ann don't either.

I think Romney would be preferable to McCain........he would definitely be preferable to Huckabee. (Not than any of the three wouldn't be very bad for the U.S.)

I disagree here. I think Huckabee would probably be a better President just because most of his stupid "pet issues" like evolution, etc. he can't directly affect. Romney, on the other hand, would probably have the power to "double Guantanamo", as he says, which is rather scary.

I agree with this. In an election like this one, in which I basically have to pick which candidate I hate least, looking at the ultimate importance of their pros/cons is more important than looking at the amount of pros/cons.

I honestly don't know if I would rather see Huckabee or McCain as the nominee. I like what Huckabee says on economics, and I believe that he's very honest and is looking to make real change. And like you said, his "pet issues" are things that really don't matter that much because all he can do is a lot of talking about them. Of course some of his stances on religion in the government are a little worrisome, but from what he says I get the feeling that the media may be exaggerating the importance of his religious faith. He said something on the MTV debate thingy to the effect of "The media is concentrating on my personal religious life, and my former career as a minister, when they should be concentrating on my positions on the issues and my record as a governor." That seemed sensible to me.

I'm not sure what it is about McCain that I don't like, but there's something... I guess the "war monger" vibe is most of it. I do like his stances on the environment and campaign finance reform, which are unusually good for a Republican. My dad says he thinks McCain seems very honest and "not a usual politician", but I disagree. He seems very much like a politician to me. I can't decide whether his tendency to go whichever way the political wind blows is a bad thing because he can change his positions so much, or a good thing because it allows him to compromise.

Anyways, I'm not ruling anyone out yet. I'm a little more optimistic about all the candidates now than I was before. (Yes, even Hillary.)

If I had known there would be the upside of Borg becoming a Canadian I would have written Romney begging him to campaign harder.:lolhit:
