I'm checking out the 14 day free trial.
So far its a good game. The quest are easy to follow, the graphics are pretty decent, player interaction is limited to exactly how much interaction you want or choose to have with other players.
Game play can be non-stop if you want to just keep hammering out quest. You can solo just as easy as you can group with other people.

Looting and the UI windows could probably use some work. I'm not to fond of the chat window but playable zones are custom to each character. Which is nice, it keeps the loot tables nice and even and allows everyone a chance to get the same items.
I like that you can simply run around and kill mobs and get XP just as easy as questing.

Kind of Monk heavy with the special rez ability they get I'd imagine.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I used to play it quite a bit. The warrior/monk was always the best, or worst class, depending on how you look at it. I had about 3 lvl 0 charaters before I got burned out on it.

Shortstuff plays, you should PM her.

I've played it a bit, but I can't say I like their system for constructing items...too difficult to remember all the ingredients you need.

I played it for a bit, didn't really like the PvP in the game and that was the only reason I bought it. WoW owns any mmo in PvE gameplay.

I played for about 2 weeks with Shortstuff. Then quit. Awesome waste of $40 though lol. Granted that was back when I actually played WoW, so I went back to that. Haven't played either in like 7-8 months.

I got a kit. Uhh.. a salvage kit? I think.
Anyway with the kit it seems every time I loot something I wind up with a little bit of everything. Like leather bundles or ingots, scales and so on. All the stuff I've needed so far for armor. After a while my backpack is full of stuff, so I haven't had to worry to much about what I need.
I also noticed that the collectors give out armor just as good as the armor vender's. Just have to go hunting for what they want.
But I've only made it to level 11, so I'm thinking I haven't gotten to the really complicated armor types yet.

So far the games a breeze, just following the quest gives you XP and loot fast.
Especially when you fill your group with henchmen.
I haven't opened any chest yet. Don't want to spend 1500g on lock picks if I'm not sure they're going to last and the chest are worth it.

I can see where you could lose interest quickly. Being that you can level so fast questing.

I tried it but couldn't get into it. My biggest complaint was that you can only interact with other players inside towns. That made the game kind of boring, IMO.

I haven't played for a long time, but I know that as you get higher in rank you get better salvage kits that get better stuff out of the things you salvage. Plus, different color items are better and produce even better stuff when you use the advance salvage kits on those. At level 11 though you are still pretty low and you wont get to the areas with the good stuff until you get higher.

My problem seemed to be that I had so much stuff I had to put it in storage, and then I wouldn't have it on me when I ran into someone who wanted to buy it, or could use it to make something. I had a 13th lvl Warrior/something when I stopped playing. The thing I enjoyed about the game the most was the scenery, and I would often just wander around looking at it. :)

Henchmen are pretty much a must. When I first started playing, I went solo, but I didn't get very far before I realized I needed some henchlings to absorb some of the damage that was coming my way. There was a particular island with a powerful naga on it that I never did defeat.

I seem to recall that many quests rewarded you with keys to open those chests you found in random spots.

I lost interest mainly because the magic/special ability system didn't make a great deal of sense to me. It seemed like the fighter's special abilities were a lot like spells you'd cast if you were a wizard type. Also, as a longtime D&D player, I like my wizards to cast specific spells, not just blast bolts of energy all the time.

Oh! You ever play DDO, its a pay as you play game though. That kind of turns a lot of people away from it.

I tried DDO. I really liked it at first, but I soon realized that the chests were always in the same place, everyone knew where the traps were, etc. Perhaps most alarming was the rumor that high end play was very unbalanced with melees dominating DPS - and I can't stand balance issues.

In the end, I decided that game does no justice to D&D.

If you're going to play a game like this, play WoW. Both PvP and PvE aspects of gameplay are well done.
