I see story after story of global warming disaster for everything from wine to polar bears. I am sure that along wiht the disaster that is predicted some good things would come out of it, anyone have any ideas? A global rise intemperatures of a few degrees cant be all bad. I am being serious, not flippant. It is impossible for a climte change to have ONLY negative effects. I guess as long as "human caused" is part of the equation it will have to be ALL bad froma political standpoint though.

More farm production, mostly. There was a huge spike in global temperatures around the time of the enlightenment that led to huge crop production (for the time). The theory is that led directly to the enlightenment because people had more time on their hands since they weren't struggling just to exist.

And no, I'm not suggesting that this is a reason we should be cool with global warming, although it's interesting that it happened once before.
