In a shocking development, and in a bigger news story than Super Tuesday, Coach Bob Knight, winningest college basketball coach in history, unexpectedly stepped down from his head coaching job at Texas Tech.

He is either

A. going to make a REAL run for the White House

B. Take the Purdue job

All kidding aside, "The Emperor of Indiana" was age 67 and said he was tired and that it was time. His son Pat Knight will take over his duties for the Red Raiders.

Adios to Coach--a fine man, not politically correct, not boring, honest, ran a fine program without a HINT of scandal, graduated his players, won 3 National Championships at IU. Probably the last of his kind.

Yeah, no more chair throwing temper tantrums, what a shame.

No sarcasm either, he gets a lot of props from me.

What kind of jackass bails on his team with 13 games left in the season? Bobby Knight, I guess.

Yeah, he's been lacking on his chair-throwing workout regimen.
