reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project and the Godzilla franchise, but original enough to stand on it's own 4 legs.

for more details than you really want click here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloverfield).

That's fine with me, as long as it's interesting enough to make me want to pay attention...

for awhile i was thinking it was a comedy:lolhit:

comic relief & clues aside, there's not a slow second in it.

I saw it a few days ago.

I really didn't like it that much. I felt like it left too much unanswered and I didn't feel like it really ended.

Saw it tonight. It was pretty good. I liked the first person view; that made it much better. I caught the thing at the end too... My boyfriend didn't catch it, even though his boss had told us where to look in the scene (not what it was or anything, just "look over there on the beach scene")... Anyways I was disappointed that you don't really find out anything. It wasn't a conclusive enough ending for me.

Saw it last weekend. I really liked it. The story was dramatic and well acted for the most part. I loved the scene in the tunnels with the night vision.

I also caught the thing at the end and to be honest it was a little disappointing. Throughout the whole movie, I kind of built up this theory in my mind that the creature was from some government experiment into dimentional travel, which would explain everything from its size, its strange physiology, the parasites living on it and the way it was thrashing around. It also explained what I thought was an unusually quick and organized response by the military. It gave the story a Cthulhu-like aspect, which I thought was cool...until the end of the movie.
