When I first joined allforums I was asked by a moderator not to post so many threads or be banned. My question is how many threads must a person have before they are banned or told they have to many? I know one member who has over 10 threads under the same category. Isn't that wasting space? Inquiring minds would like to know!

10 cut & paste jobs in a few hours, or 10 original posts over a few days? the devil is in the details.http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/teufel/devil-smiley-087.gif

Don't post them all at once. Trickle them out. Posting them all at once looks like spamming. Post the one or two that look like they'll get the most responses, then wait until they get discussion, then go ahead and post a few more.

It would probably depend on the moderator, and the number and type of new threads.

There is no hard and fast rule, but if one poster starts posting so many new threads every day that they begin to monopolize the forum, it can be a bit annoying. Everyone has their own posting style, and we try to make accommodations for that, but no one wants to read 10 threads/day on why God doesn't exist, or why Bush sucks.

The official Allforums rule on the subject: Use common sense.

The once Great IMDb.com { best Movie star and all purpose site
for Movies and Message Boarding } Went thu many changes
and one had to do with Limiting a message Board Posters
# of Reply's and also Timing.
Akin to what Allforums uses for it's PM's.
