I'm looking for a gadget that will send me hourly (or half hourly) news reports. Something that I can carry on my person that won't get in the way of things. A few years ago, I used to work as a customer engineer for a data processing firm. They issued us a very cool pager that would (every hour) send us pages that would read out the most current news events.

If you all know of a more modern device that exists today, what do you guys recommend :)

My boyfriend got one and he LOVES it. I am also very attracted to the idea of being able to use the internet (and not just the sucky version on most cell phones) anywhere. I just don't like the touch screen. My OCD tendencies would have me wiping that thing down every time I saw one little smudge.
