"The Man", starring Samual L. Jackson and Eugene Levy, is about a non-nonsense, intimidating, experienced cop (Jackson) who is about to make a gun bust. He coordinates a sting operation to meet with the gun dealers, but the gun dealers go to an ordinary guy (Eugene Levy) instead. So they think Eugene Levy is the potential gun buyer, when in reality he is a dental salesman, and probably the most cheerful, innocent man on the planet. The movie then proceeds to have Jackson drag Levy around and do certain tasks, set up meeting spots, and eventually help "take down the bad guys"...
Most of the humor comes from the conversing between Levy and Jackson, as they come from 2 completely different sides of the galaxy. There is a funny part where Levy, posing as "the man" in front of the gun dealers... refers to Jackson as "his bitch", who can only take it and acknowledge it for fear of blowing his cover.
Overall, I'd say it's a movie worth renting, if you are in the mood for an action/comedy.
