I just watched this movie.. I had heard from so many people that it was hilarious, and yet I found it to be average at best. The only part I liked was the cops hanging with McLovin. Those three pretty much made anything out of the movie. The main character I didn't care for, and it heavily promoted that it's not a big deal for high school kids to be getting tanked. I wouldn't recommend this movie.

Decka Rating: 4/10

I'd give it about a 6.5/10. I thought it was pretty damn funny in a lot of parts. Not on par with American Pie or anything like that, but good enough to sit through.

What parts were funny to you besides McLovin with the cops? I can't think of any.

There were definitely some jokes that had me laughing. Little one liners scattered throughout, mostly. Everything McLovin did too. :p

I think it was one of the funniest teenage movies I have ever seen. It was consistently funny. Sure it was vulgar, sophmoric, nasty but it was hilarious and it had something else a lot of teenage movies don't have and that is heart. The two main actors are great. The Mclovin character was funny too although I don't think he alone made the movie. The ending was great because it showed them finally becoming more mature. I would give it 8/10!! Superbad is super-funny! A step above most of the sophmoric teenage comedies although it certainly was one!

I dunno.. the vulgar bickering between the two kids wasn't anything really funny to me... I don't mind vulgar stuff at all as long as it's used properly and is funny, and that didn't happen in this movie. It was basically another "harold and kumar go to white castle".. because they were on this quest to get beer, get to the party, and get laid... but without any funny parts.

OMG I LOVED Harold & Kumar Go To Whitecastle. Superbad was kind of like that, now that I think about it. The vulgar parts were fine, mostly went too far to be really hilarious though.

OH, I thought Harold and Kumar was good too. I think they are going to have a new one come out next year. At least I remember seeing some preview for it. It think they go to Amsterdam. :corn: I dunno.. the vulgar bickering between the two kids wasn't anything really funny to me... Harold and Kumar was a much better movie than superbad...

There just really wasn't anything appealing about superbad AT ALL.. besides McLovin... which is funny as hell.. but everything else kinda sucked.

Superbad was a lot better that Harold and Kumar.

Noooo superbad was a bunch of young kids arguing profainly in everyday speech... the arguments weren't even funny. It's everyday stuff. I'll bet the writers thought they were writing gold but I sure as hell didn't see it.

I even had the one kid beat on the "addicted to drawing cocks" joke, as I came up with that around 2000-2001, when I worked for a pizza shop and would draw penis's everywhere... on the dry-erase board, on pizza boxes.. and my most triumphant one, in my bosses expense book, which he had an accountant look over. To put it mildly, my boss said it was.. "an awkward moment" when she flipped the page to see a giant, veiny penis blasting out cum. I'm not saying the movie "stole" from me, but hey.. I came up with the joke first. All my friends have been saying how someone must have been listening to my jokes back in high school LOL.

The period stain wasn't all that funny... it made for "I wonder if he can get out of the house without getting his ass kicked" mystery.. but it wasn't overall funny to me.

Like I said.. McLovin made that movie. No McLovin, that movie is 0.5/10
