View Full Version : Reincarnation and Other Totally Unrelated Stuff

Guys, what is the story about reincarnation? Should we actually consider reincarnation a viable reality? Jesus said something somewhere :) that, "one does not have to believe in Him, it is just that you will then be judged by your works (the Krama stuff)."

Christians are suppost to come under the "Law of Grace" (if they confess that they have sinned and follow Jesus and are baptized in the Name of our Lord and Savior.) Your sins are forgiven and you get to start fresh, "Karma' free, because of His sacrifice. Then you start fresh with "new sins" and that kind of stuff :) . But in the middle of the new "sin stuff", if you "confess" your sins, you then get to start over again :) After all Jesus did say, "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do :) !" I love that part :) ! And that is being honest on my part. After all, "me being me :) ."

?

Love!

Hey tuck baby. Hope your Christmas was good and that the real Tuck got a good bone.

I believe in reincarnation... but not the rule of karma as most understand it.

I believe we have multiple lives and that over there is home. I just recently wrote this out for someone so here in a nutshell is what I believe:

I am an advocate of reincarnation with our goal being that of moving toward the light. The light being the highest power.

I believe "home" is over there some place and that is where we come from and that is where we will return to.

Each life here is done by choice and is a chance to evolve to a higher level.
Each meeting here is not by chance but by choice as we write much of our journey before we come. We write the skeleton before we arrive, while here and in the flesh, we fill in the rest as we choose. Those we meet are of our circle. We choose our parents, our country, our circumstances and the length of time we will be here. There is no male or female there is only spirit.

I believe each cycle is for a reason. Sometimes to teach and sometimes to learn.

There are many I recognize along the way as a "soul mate" others are merely people who we barely touch yet each matters.

There are different levels even here. My mother was higher than I. My current partner is higher than I. Some are equal. Others I mentor, some guide me.

On the other hand to be more critical, it is possible nothing exists except the here and now. Maybe there is no other world. I accept that may be the truth. Some of my friends live that truth. I live my truth as that is what works for me. What matters is where we find comfort and self and love that connects us and betters us.

There is no right, there is no wrong except for that which defines us. Not a popular concept but one that just is for me.

I believe in reincarnation in that when we die, our bodies go back to the earth, to feed other new/growing things. The cycle is complete.

Sal sweetheart, I am glad that you are still here :) I was beginning to miss your presence :)

And again I agree with you :)

So just for permission to continue dialog, may I ask you this: "Do you believe that we create our own future?" Basically "Karma" is the things that we do or choose to do coming back at us because we just have to be "me".

Sal, I have no idea how other people are going to handle this but: "Even if we are not "baby gods" playing in creation, we still make decisions in the present that affects us in the future. If every time that one makes a decision, what if they look off into the future and questioned, "What is going to be the results of this decision?" and "What am I going to have to live with because of this decision?"

Sal sweetheart, you have reached the point where you personally understand that every decision that you make affects your future. In some sense of the the word "affect".

:) So how do we get around this? Even if there is no such thing as "Karma"?

Love you! And wecome back!

PS: I am being drifted in to a vegetarian diet :) so I am fighting Tucker for the meat on his bones (especially beef!) :) ! Oh and by the way :) , Bolgna is dog food for people. So I slip Tucker some Bolgna if I want his bone :) and he don't seem to mind :) !

Love you!

Sir, I can't disagree with what you have posted above. So may I ask you this: "Are we failing the Earth, if we ascend and take our body with us?"

You are loved! And wecome to this topic!

Why would the physical body be of any interest anyway? It is not even a constant thing, the atoms in your body are recycled all the time. There is nothing specifically "you" about them.

Once I went to a psychic fair I went to in Atlanta a long time ago with a friend that was into that sort of stuff. In fact, he read tarot cards and actually made money doing it. Anyway, I took a quiz the Hare Krishna guys were giving at their booth that tells you what you are going to be in your next life. The quiz asked a lot of multiple choice question and a lot of the questions were about sex like how many times a day you think about it and all sorts of weird stuff. Anyway my results said I would be a giraffe in my next life. The guy running the booth said that's great you will be tall and a vegetarian. Hmm, I wonder how many times a day a giraffe thinks about sex? :@@:

Well, they get about 15 minutes of sleep a night, so if you are one of those who always oversleep, that could be you ultimate punishment :)

Pssst! I'm a she. :)

Anyway, I suppose that a person who believes a body can/will ascend, would say that the Earth would be less without them, but since I'm not one of those people, I have no way of knowing.

Personally, I take great comfort in thinking that one day, some tiny part of me will serve to help a rose bloom.

As a guy on a messageboard, based on my experience, referring to a member as a she, when that member is not a she (men being men) creates a whole lot of turbulance :) . Those of the female persuarsion seem to handle things better that men do :) ! Ok?

For a while, All Forums.net got real thin when it came to women members. "Was headed into being a guys club." Like Napster posted one time, "Women don't post!"

Any way "the Marzipan" :) thank you for the heads up! All women are dangerous and thank you for declaring yourself :) !

As a Botanist (and my wife loves and grows roses) roses love "Iron" :) throw some "nails" and "steel" grit into their soil and they prosper :)

So guys :) "F. de Marzipan" is a women :) you have been warned!

Marzipan, helping should be done while "one" is living. Whether they accend or not. Death is not the gift, death just recycles the gift. The gift is "Life", and what we do with "it." Is all.

It is nice to meet you Marzipan and welcome to the topic! Your input is a gift!

Love you!

We will outnumber them soon now :)

Ah yes the Book! :) "Sex and the High Command!"

Science is going to come up with a "Pill" that gives women an awesome sexual experience that results in them (women) becoming pregnant and birthing a baby girl (No man needed). We men are then at that point, no longer needed :) and will (we men) then, be hunted to extiction by Angel and her kind! And the truth is that this science is not all that complicted in a chemical biological sense. We are on the edge of it :) and it will happen!

The author of that old book was right.

The truth is guys, I am old and I don't mind "Reincarnating" as a women. I can be a Mystic Yogi no matter what body shell I am birthed in :) ! It is not about sex, it is about one's relationship with God. There ain't no sex in Heaven. Sex is only a this world "reality."

That's one way to know you picked the wrong religion when they tell you there is no sex in their heaven!!!! Not that I believe in heaven although the Muslims believe you have sex in heaven!!Ah yes the Book! :) "Sex and the High Command!"

Angel :) I agree!

I threw the damn book away :) at the same time it does have a point. We men may go out with the dinosaurs :) in the grand sceme of things men are becoming sort of obsolete.

And (to list just one example) if a woman desgned a car :) it wouldn't need a man to fix it. And it would probably run better.

:)

Reincarnation as a concept has been around for a long time and is a common belief in alot of non Christian circles in todays world.

Most of these reincarnation believing people believe that we are trapped in a cycle of life and death and that the object is to excape. Periodically down through history some folks have and are listed as having successfully excaped. This escape in englash is called "Ascension".

Jesus and Mohammed are two well known examples of ascension as a possibility. India has a bunch of recorded examples of folks that have asceneded. Shiva is an example of a person who could have ascended and choose not to until there is a time when all of humankind has ascended. So technically he is an immortal.

Love,

In all fairness Angel :) My step daughter loves her "Get out of my way!" four wheeler, off road monster :) ! But at the same time she is 5' 3"" maybe, and does have to run around in the shower to get wet :)

But at the same time if you go to the door of her house :) five large dogs and a 6' 4'' very big well built husband answers the door. I am only 5' 5'' :)

I don't give those step kids any hassle :) I am back woods :) but so are they! If you have enough money (at least willing to run dept) you drive a big vehicle. There is a higher survival potiential for you and your loved ones.

I don't have the money to do it, but I do understand why folks do. And just for the record I actually agree with your above post. I am glad that we have high gas prices :) "Bleed those suckers dry :) !" At the same time it is survival of the "Fittest" and the rich are the "Fittest". Oh well.

Last time I was in the US (5 years ago) I payed, what, under a dollar a gallon, that was a quarter of our price back then and about a sixth or seventh of current prices here.

you might change your mind if you ever have to get cut out of one of those cheese wedges that pass for cars. i think their appeal has more to do with function than status. the big ones have full frames, they ride higher for a better view, and if you bump into something, you have a better chance of surviving...not to mention all of that room:)

I have heard of many different kinds of reincarnation. It seems that I am only interested in the kind that states that a reincarnated being retains memory of previous lives. "Interested" in the sense that the prospect of going to a new place as me, memory intact, gives meaning to everyday decision making related to reincarnation.

However, as most of us surely don't remember having previous lives, this kind of reincarnation theory seems a little shaky. Here you can argue that in certain orders the being will retain memory, while in others the being has its memory wiped out. But the more complicated this gets the less elegant it is to talk about it which as a religious-philosophical doctrine means it is not very attractive.
