Because of the title of this topic (and the good grace of our beloved Admins/Mods) this thread/topic can not be "Thread Jacked".

I want to ramble on/around the concept/subject of, "The Mystic Experience", and I don't care what happens in the middle of what ever I am rambling on about :)

I am attempting to "Teflon" coat this topic, at least relative to the rules that we know so far (If you are consistently an angry person you will get "Banned!" There ain't no "teflon" to that one. Which personally I think is a good idea :) ).

Look guys, I need to be self contained. There is no way that I can run around loose on this messageboard (in General Population) and not get myself in trouble. :) And I am not angry at anybody. I am just having fun and really love All Forums. net.

So until things cool off abit :) I am going to confine myself to this topic/thread. Ok?

Origionally messageboard programs recognized the concept of "Threads". Somebody starts a "Topic" and you end up with "Threads" off of that "Topic" going where ever they go. Which is why we have the word "Threads".

The computer program that All Forums.net uses actually has no concept of "Threads". Sort of.

You are either on "Topic" or you are not. But :)

This All Forums.net computer program does though allow you to "define" a "Thread" that you are creating in the "Topic" that you are participating in :) This definition is called the "Title". When you fill out the title, it tells the viewers and those that are participating in the "Topic" that you are creating "a Thread." All posts with that "Title" are a part of that "Thread", and are an offspring off of the origional "Topic" or other created "Threads" from that "Topic".

Or do we just start a new "Topic" that includes the origional "Topic" name and a "Thread" name so that viewers and participating folks can check out the "Thread/Threads" that was/were "birthed" off of the origional "Topic'.

So now my question to the "Moderators" is, "Do I need to take this "Topic" to the "General Discussion Forum" where you/any of us, can talk about anything, so that I/we do not corrupt the purity of the "Mystic Forum"?

:)

I used to smoke pot. Hell everbody knows it, that knows me. God's Holy Spirit took me off of it. Somewhere around twelve to fifteen years ago, I loose track of time. I drink alittle beer now. Not that that is right, because that is not.

Hi Primitive Man and welcome to this topic! I don't care if folks drunk or stoned want to participate in this topic. We are all in transition anyway :) even me.

So Primitive Man, what kind of spirit things are you exploring/experiencing and how is it going for you?

Technically anyone who can access a higher source for information is a "Mystic". Some people call this source of information "guides" and some people call this source of information "God/Goddess/It" :) . As an experienced Mystic I do have to admit that there are alot of "Spirit" folk out there to "guide" you in what ever direction that you would like to go. :)

They will even guide you into being an Atheist or an Agnostic or just some version of Satanic. :)

guys every once in a while some person/people actually wants/would like to explore God as something that is real. At least as a possibility. :)

My attempt with exploring this "Mystic stuff topic", is to share with others my own experience with exploring God a real reality in a personal sense.

The fun is how to explore this "Mystic stuff reality" in the middle of the "Godless" :) whom I actually love very much! I am kind of like "Lot" in the Bible :) but I don't have Abraham to bust me out of jail :) .

Primitive Man, lets start here: You have a good spirit and I like you! I honestly think that you are on the right path and that you have good guides. This is based on the feel of your mind presences in the "force" (for lack of a better word).

You are a seeker and I am a seeker and we are sharing our seeker experiences with each other, until we go do something else.

Wecome to this topic and for being a part of my learning experience. Personally, I am glad to have you aboard. You do carry wisdom.

Primitive Man, nomatter how anyone looks at it, being sensitive to the spirits is awkward in today's world. And I really do not have a problem with "pot" (I probably spent spent at least 25-28 years of my life very stoned). It is just that evil is using "pot" to drift young folks into a self destructive reality. Kind of like some evil is using religion :)

Anywho Primitive Man, I want/would like to discuss what ever you would like to discuss. No matter how we look at it, I am going to learn from it, and I don't mind.

Love you!

depends on how you use and not abuse. many cultures use pot in ritual life. it isn't a big deal. and i don't spend my life staying stoned. who can afford it? and i can't grow enough of it, so, i go without for very long periods.
it is not a big deal.
i like the philosophy of now deceased medicine man called lame deer. he did not set himself up as some holy pure being who could not get down and dirty with the non-spiritual people. he understood where they were coming from. he understood them.

Primative Man, I would like to say this, "Anyone who is sensitive and respects the "spirits of good", as you are/do, is a gift to humankind and our animal brothers and sisters! Period!

I love Lame Deer, he was real.

Sometimes the human mind needs to be shook up abit to expore the Divine.

I spent several thousand hours, once two years none stop, 14 or more hours a day on "pot", meditating, exploring God (some yogis did it that way :) and I am a yogi mystic from the 60's).

Anyway Primative Man, I look forward to sharing experiences with you should you be willing. A person who is sensitive to and has respect for the "spirits", has "honest" in their heart, and has a place in my heart. And just for what ever it is worth, the personal spirit imprint that you leave with your posts, when you post, is of the Divine. I am abit humbled in your presence, and that is honest.

You are loved!

guys, there are not "any" advanced Christian mystic yogis in todays world. I wish that there were some more of them, I would like to kick thing around with them.

There are yogi mystics and there are Christian mystics, but nobody has in todays world tried to explore both worlds at the same time.

So I am an oddity. I am not sure how that happened :) and I did start out with the best of intentions.

Just for the record I am not suggesting that everybody should be a mystic yogi (Christian or otherwise). What I am attemping to do here, God willing, is to share my experience with this stuff, with the curious. No more and no less.

So guys here is my delima with this topic:

How does an advanced "yogi Mystic" share the mystic experience with others? With the understanding that :) that the whole thing is not easy. And that it is pretty hard to sugar coat this stuff and still be honest about what is involved.

Being a mystic is all about really wanting to get to know God, no matter what ever He/She/It is. And that only God can actually teach you about God.

So what I am going to attempt to do here is to just kick around (talk about) my personal experiences with the "mystic yogi" experience. Should anybody have any questions or comments please feel free to just step in and post them and we (all of us) will have a look at them. There is actually no such thing as a dumb question or comment. If nothing else, we all get post credits and life is good :) !

the sense of humor of spirits

once i was desperate for some cash, couldn't find a job, etc.. and i sent a prayer up and asked for money. i found a dollar bill.

i sent up smoke and prayers this year to ask for lots of luck putting meat away for the winter. i met someone who is a hunter from hell. loves to do it. he asked me if i could use some meat. i said sure, send it on down. next thing i know i have people dropping off deer left and right who didn't need it.
(i expected to be more lucky in my own hunting). we ran out of room for it in the freezer, making tons of jerky, canning it. now giving a bunch away.

go figure.

Scumbelina :) it is probably a good thing that you forgot what messageboard you were on :) I would have agreed with the guy that you were debating with. This Globel Warming stuff has been going on "off and on" for the last million years and mankind had nothing to do with it. Our planet does this stuff with or with out us :) which is why we have Ice Ages and inter glacial interludes.

It is not that we can't screw up our atmosphere and planet, it is just that we have not done it so far and that what is happening now is not yet our fault. :)

About, "How is life treating me?" and it was nice of you to ask, life has its ups and downs, but my mystic stuff has again taken an intersting turn! I love it when that happens! Never a dull moment!

Anyway Scumbellina, thanks for taking time to post in this topic!

Guys, it turns out that DarkFantasy, a member on this messageboard, has read "Hindu Scripture" (She gave me a heads up :) ). So if any of you have a question about Hindu Scripture, and I can't answer your question :) "I am just a yogi want to be."

Ok? :)

As a Christian Mystic, I can also run "New Testament" stuff", at least relative to what Jesus is quoted as saying.

OK? :)

I can run the Chinese "Tao" stuff also, if anyone wishes too.

All of these things are related and a part of what I have personally experienced.

I have also ran the complete gambet of the "Kundalini" stuff and can answer questions on that stuff also. About "Tantric Yoga" :) run it by me, if you wish, and lets have a look at it, if you wish :) I don't mind.

Hello everybody! I was invited by my friend "Tucker58" to allforums. I'm here to talk about mystical experience and everything related to it. I stumbled across the mystical experience/union with God some years ago and since then I've been living in a new reality. In the beginning I basically had no idea what I was going through and it caused some serious mental turbulence in me. This difficult phase in one's journey is usually called dark night of the soul by Christian mystics. Then I met "Tucker58" who helped me to understand what was happening and how to make the path less rocky. I still have some difficulties with this experience which is totally beyond comprehension, but for the most part I've learned to not to make it into a problem.

I could call myself a Christian mystic, because I approach God as a Father through Jesus Christ and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Other than that I don't have very much in common with traditional Christianity. I don't belong to any church or congregation (anymore), altough I see most of them as valid. I also have studied yoga science and have atleast basic level of understanding about it.

Grace, Peace, Love

:)

One picture tells more than a thousand words...

I'm going to post some pictures that are graphic representations of the things that begin to wake up when you enter the mystical experience.

"If your eye is single your whole body will be full of Light."
Matthew 6:22

Below is a meditation that I learned from "Tucker58" which is ment to wake up the reality that the above quote from the Scripture talks about.

Imagine a golden sun in front of the top of your forehead. This area is the Eye of Sun.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1254/1052944656_dbe7fef8e7.jpg

Feel the golden white light and energy flowing into your forehead from the Eye of Sun. Feel how the area between your eyebrows and the whole forehead lights up.

http://www.santmat.net/public/med_6.jpg

http://www.knowthyselfassoul.net/public/intro_02.jpg

Feel how the heart center also lights up as you allow the energy from the "Sun" touch your forehead. Activation of the pituitary gland automatically activates the thymus gland also.

http://www.elanthra.com/images/cta2.jpg

Now allow the head above the eyebrows disappear and let more golden sunlight and energy to flow into you. Feel how the rest of the energy centers are being activated ( http://z.about.com/d/healing/1/7/q/v/spiritwells_chakra.jpg ).

http://www.federationyoga.qc.ca/HOM-CHAKRA.jpg

Feel the energy and light filling your whole body from head to toes. Allow the energy expand outside your body until it forms an aura of brilliant golden white light around you.

http://www.kheper.net/topics/subtlebody/ketheric.jpg

This whole meditation can be simplified into a few simple mind actions (thought placements). If you just place your thought into the Eye of Sun and the Heart center (feel them with your mind) the rest will follow automatically.

It should be understood that this meditation by itself has nothing to do with mystical experience or God. But it can if you want to. It's because you can wake your self up with or without God. And it should also be understood that being occupied by God's presence the above meditation wakes up by itself as a side effect. "Seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else is given to you".

Guys what you put "thought" into wakes up. It just does.

There is a place in your "brain" for everything that you want to wake up.

Science (and science fiction :) ) talks about, the "Future Humankind". Parts of our "brain" will be "Woke Up" and humankind will be different in totally cool ways!

As a mystic and/or as a yogi :) you learn how to wake your "brain" up by putting "thought" into things. Our "brain" is an organ that can grow. "Oh gee! I am going to be a yogi and/or a mystic!" Yah right :) that guys, is going to require a few extra neural pathways :) Some people already have them, they just don't use them. But most of us don't have them. It is like building muscle as a "weight lifter", only you have to build brain "neural pathways", instead of muscle.

They run you throuh an MIR and they go "Holy Smokes! We have one of them happening! :) !"

Building new neural pathways requires some exercise (unless you are born with them) and bulking up requires some time and effort, "if" you are actually interested in building the mind that science says is for future humankind.

Anyway guys, should you if for some reason, decide to study the possibility of being a yogi and/or mystic there is going to be some time and effort involved with building some new stuff. I don't know way God did it that way but it seems that He did :) (with the understanding that some folks are just born with this stuff and it is just a matter of harnessing it). But harnessing it, does also require abit of effort.

Love!

Hi John :)

You are right I should slow down a bit :)

If someone with no previous experience in meditation would like to explore being a yogi and/or mystic what would be a good place to start?

The above meditation can be too complicated if we talk about a real beginner. If you had to start with just a one place to place your thought into what would that be? I'm talking about simplifying things as much as possible and this way building a really solid foundation for future meditations.

Guys, just so that there is no confusion here, Tatu is a young dad with a family to support. He has no computer of his own and has to go quite abit down the street to barrow a computer, when he has a moment, to visit with us. OK?

And yes he loves God and mostly don't fit in here, but I love him anyway.

Actually I have a computer now. My wife's parents gave it to us. I don't have too much time to use it though.

How to start learning to meditate?

Let's assume that a person who is asking this question wants to have a loving relationship with God.

First I would suggest to begin with a simple prayer to encourage God to live inside you. "Dear God I invite you to live inside Your temple that I am. I desire for your presence. Please fill me with Your loving presence." Or something like that. Desire is what matters here. It's not about having the right words or technique. You connect with God through Faith, Love and desire.

Then I would suggest you to feel the area in the center of your chest with your mind. That's the heart center. That's the bodily location of emotion Love. If you can visualize you can imagine a brilliant golden white sun in your chest.

If you have difficulties in visualization. You could spend some time looking at the picture of the sun. http://www.psy.ritsumei.ac.jp/~akitaoka/sun.jpg
If you want to learn to visualize the sun quickly this is a good method. You are memorizing the sun picture. Soon you can see it your mind anytime you want and you don't need the outer picture. Or you can use candle flame too ( http://www.appliedmeditation.org/holistic/images/candle_flame.jpg ) But please choose either flame or sun not both. Concentrating at one thing at a time makes learning faster in the beginning.

Borghunter sir, Tatuta is not a "Tucker58." Tatuta is not an "asshole", he is actually a nice person.

Borghunter Sir, Tatuta will contain himself to one topic (this topic). He will be present in no other topic (he doesn't have the time anyway, he is a young person who has a young family to feed, clothe, and house.). So he will be easy to ignore. And Sir, this is an open topic and all points of views are welcome! And this topic is "teflon coated". Which means that any or all All Forums.net members is/are welcome to say "anything" that they want to in this topic. And they are welcome to step in here and tear things up as much as they want to :) I don't mind. "Activity is the life of a messageboard."

And even an atheist can do this stuff and become a very powerful person, if they wish to be :) You don't need God. It is just that you become a "god." Is all. Waking up the human mind to some awesome potientals is a gift to everyone, whether they believe in God or not. If there is a God, then He/She/It will sort things out somehow :) ! If they/things even need to be sorted out. Who knows :)

So anyway Borghunter Sir, when you come to the word "God", just leave "It" out. The system still works/works anyway.

Love!

So Tatu, what is the weather like in Finland? And does the sun come up much :) ?

It has been quite warm and very there's very little snow. It seems to be getting a bit colder though. Usually it's quite a bit colder in this time of the year and lots of snow. Last winter was pretty much the same way. Global warming is the reason for this change I guess.

Sun doesn't come up much. We're living the darkest time of the year. People suffer "polar night depression" in this time of the year.

What is the weather like in Ellensburg? The summer was great there. I miss being there. What's the winter like?

This is the meditation that I began to explore a little while ago. Buddha sitting under a bodhi tree, except my Buddha is golden, has a wreath around his head and eye of sun lit up. After Buddha has entered nirvana he turns silver sheen in color and melts into an infinite silver sheen space.

"Tucker58" could you please expound this picture a bit. What kind of keys does it contain if we're talking about exploring enlightenment?

Son, now the world knows where I live :) You are bad! Very very Bad! :)

Our weather is kind of like your weather :) only we have more day light.

And it does seem to be getting colder :) I live in Finland with more light :) too cool!

Well Tatu, you and I now have an old computer that somebody gave us instead of throwing it away. But I am happy and consider it/mine/yours a gift from God. I couldn't afford a new one anyway. I am just happy to be here, even though a bunch of people on this message board are not :) happy that I am here. Only on All Forums.net! The "Rogue" and the "non Rogue" exploring dialog :)

Oh man! Marvin (my stepson) has just come home with a vidio phone camera thingy and he is playing a vidio of chores with Tucker (our dog) and mom, on our tv. :)

be right back!

It turns out that there are two bodies that one can wake up :) "Body Physical" the male side of the brain and "Body Spirit" (intellectual), the female side of the brain :) . In reality the Budda should be sitting inside the "tree", because the "tree representation" is the other part of one's body :) we have a "physical body" and an "energy body." Who new :)

It also turns out that one has two "mental bodies."

http://z.about.com/d/healing/1/7/q/v...lls_chakra.jpg

The golden thingy on top of this figure's head is the place of the "Body Physical" mind body space (male side of the brain).

But above the "Tree body" is a little "gold ring" that is called the "Crown of God", by the Kaballa folk and some others (which I have found actually to be real), above "that" "Gold Ring" is the mind body space, of the "spirit/intelectual" mind. The female side of things :) !

There is a reason why women are mostly players. They are mostly (but not all) playing, with their mind above the "Crown of God" (what ever that means :) ). This concept is still being explored :) relative to me as a guy yogi!

A person sitting inside the "tree":

According to traditional hindu yoga model we have five bodies. They are called koshas.
From gross to subtle: 1. Physical 2. Energy 3. Mind 4. Intellect 5. Bliss

http://www.srivyuha.org/SriVyuha/images/koshas.jpg

Taittiriya Upanishad speaks of the individual as divided into five selves.

Five levels of self are referred to:

the anna-maya-atma or the "Self (atma) made of Food"
the prana-maya-atma or "the Self made of Vital Breath (prana)"
the mana-maya-atma or "the Self made of Mind (manas)"
the vijnana-maya-atma or "the Self made of Consciousness or intellect (vijnana)"
the ananda-maya-atma or "the Self made of Bliss (ananda)"

The aspirant is supposed to pass through each of these selves in turn, finally attaining to the Absolute or Brahman.

Waking up the male side of things feels relatively easy to me. I can activate the body physical mind space, but I'm not so sure about the body spiritual mind space. I'm now going to explore the "Crown of God" and area above it.

Cool! Actually based on my experience there are "thirteen" :) "five" is just the beginning. But like everything else with this stuff words start to get a bit drifty :)

And just for the record Tatu :) your avatar picture is actually the perfect picture. Everything is there. One can not meditate on that picture and not eventually achieve the total package of "Enlightenment".

All Forums.net is and always will be my "first love". But if I continue to hang out here I am going to get myself in trouble, I seem to be drifting that direction for what ever reason. And I don't want to do that. I have alot of happy memories here.

So my Finnish friend, do you have any suggestion where an old mystic yogi could hang out on the internet for a couple of months, until spring. My life situation has changed because of my Mother (which is ok) and my wife, Tucker, and I will be moving to somewhere else when winter is over.

Tatu you have a gift when it comes to finding things on the internet :) I don't.

Chores :) be back in a minute!

Back, I had some 80 lb sacks of feed to move. :)

Anywho Tatu :) as a favor when you have a bit spare of time, if you would.

Love you!

http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php? Eight hundred and a bunch members viewing in the last "15" minutes :) Can an old mystic yogi keep up with that :) ?

Tatu I won't play on Yahoo messagebaords. Are there one or more choices to replace that one? :) And the messageboard has to show "view" numbers :)

Hell, what is life without "viewers" :) Some of them end up being the new members. The good, The bad, and The ugly :)

I love being a new member :) on your toes survival "at its best!" Everbody knows everybody, but you :) the new member is a "curiosity" and "How can they be dinked with?" and "Will they fit?" :) I love that part.

Anyway Tatu, do we have some choices to replace the Yahoo messageboard option for our new "Tatu's Choices" Favorite folder, in our Favorites? And do these options have viewer numbers? :) got to have "viewers"! Folks have got to know if anybody "out there!" is listening. That is half the fun.

And just for the record, we do not mind small messageboards with just few members and viewers. Everybody has to start some where. And we can study management and members that love the messageboard and want it to succeed, versus those that don't.

Love you!

tuck

PS: Just to be on topic, part of the fun with the "mystic stuff" is the the "Psychic Stuff" :) I know that it ain't fair :) but it sure is fun.

Tuck, I was wondering how you handle the concept of Satan, being a Christian Mystic.

You speak often as if you are of the Old Religion, before Satan was invented.

I personally do not accept the existance of Satan, only bad decision by people. I believe that rewards and punishments are here in this life-time, ruled by our actions, not after death. More to the three-fold belief.

I had one once, when I met the Dalai Lama.
Well it wasn't exactly him, he was in one of his previous lives and was a dog at the time and I petted and made a fuss of him.
When I next saw him in his present form during his visit to Canada, I called out to him " Hey Rover! how are you boy?". He just looked over at me with a blank look.
Funny that.

don't dogs usually look at you like that anyway? maybe you should have waved a dog cookie at him. response may have been better.
