So once again, Israel is blackmailing the United States, I can hear the Jewish lobby in Washington phoning they're Congressman as I speak.
Israeli Security Minister Avi Dichter warned Saturday that US Intelligence reports that Iran no longer developing nuclear arms could lead to a regional war.
In Israels harshest criticism yet of the US report-Avi Dichter said the assessment also cast doubt on American Intelligence in general, including
information about Palestinian security forces crackdown on militant groups.

There's some funny talk in that article; Israel thinks there's a blueprint to screw Iran.
"Something went wrong in the American blueprint for analyzing the severity of the Iranian nuclear threat."
If the CIA budges on this one what good are they?
Israel will work to change the American intelligence agencies' view of Iran.

EU foreign ministers have agreed to implement sanctions against Iran after its refusal to halt uranium enrichment.
The sanctions go further than those already agreed by the United Nations.

Israel needs to portray itself as always the victim in the region-these damn yanks will have to learn to have their Intel rubber stamped by Jerusalem before they are released.

Your up to date news is not complete. The news was that they had high confidence that they had stopped making one in '03.
And We assess with moderate confidence Tehran had not restarted its nuclear weapons program as of mid-2007, but we do not know whether it currently intends to develop nuclear weapons....We do not have sufficient intelligence to judge confidently whether Tehran is willing
to maintain the halt of its nuclear weapons program indefinitely while it weighs its options, or whether it will or already has set specific deadlines or criteria that will prompt it to restart the program

Dont need to read it again-your interpretation is different from mine.
This Intel report dosent suit Israel-who as usual wants to dictate from word go,how the whole politics of the region is handled.
It shows again-that Israel has an influence over State Department affairs.
If you dont believe that-Mr Bush is side tracking the report already.

How you can get that the iranians have definitively not re-started their program would be a good start.
The report doesn't suit the french or the english either. Are you going to suggest that the jewish lobby has influence at Whitehall and Paris as well?
Side-tracking it? How?
Given iran's propensity to threaten israel how do you feel about israel threatening iran?

The NIE your Intelligence people say it themselves. As the US is no friend of Tehrans, I would think they didnt arrive at this conclusion easily.
The report doesn't suit the french or the english either. Are you going to suggest that the jewish lobby has influence at Whitehall and Paris as well? Whitehall and Paris will go along with whatever Bush says-to keep them in the game. Paris and Washington are on friendly terms of now, and Im sure the French dont want left out in the cold again.
Side-tracking it? How?Mr Bush-not satisfied with how things are going thats how.
Bush has for a longtime now-been telling us that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.
After this report-Bush is telling us that,
''Iran remains a threat to the world despite new intelligence saying the country may not be building nuclear weapons''.
Either they are building nukes
or they arent building nuke.
Given iran's propensity to threaten israel how do you feel about israel threatening iran?
Keep in mind that there is only one nation at present with nuclear weapons,
and it isnt Iran.

Paul, don't you know that you can't say ANYTHING anti-israel in the US?
Good job Im not in the US then.
To me this is part and parcel of the whole mid-east problem.
Israel wanting to be the dominant player, having US backing, and a military the envy of the world.
Simply-Israel wishes to live at peace with its neighbours-as long as it can dictate what sort of peace that is.

The NIE your Intelligence people say it themselves. As the US is no friend of Tehrans, I would think they didnt arrive at this conclusion easily.
They don't say that at all. It says they high confidence they stopped in '03. they have moderate confidence, which if you'd read the report means it's 50/50 confidence that they haven't re-started it. And they admit that they really don't know.
Whitehall and Paris will go along with whatever Bush says-to keep them in the game. Paris and Washington are on friendly terms of now, and Im sure the French dont want left out in the cold again.
Why? Are you suggesting the yanks have better intelligence than the french, who have long-standing ties to iran? That the yanks have better intelligence than the british? On what basis?
Mr Bush-not satisfied with how things are going thats how.

NO nuclear weapons.
Isnt developing nuclear weapons.
Has not imported enough fissile material to make a nuclear weapon.

Until 9/11 and then Iraq, I would have said yes indeed the US would/should have superior Intelligence to Britain and France.
The amount of funding and technology deployed by the US.
In International Affairs-the US is the man-these other two-UK and France,
have illusions of granduer, nothing more.
That said-no one, not even the Ruskies have an ear in Tehran.
I asked how. None of this tells us how.
Well if you cant see that Bush isnt taking his own Intel advice-I dont know.
Doesn't answer the question.Im no supporter of Iran, but two wrongs dont make a right.

No. The only thing we agree on is that iran doesn't have nuclear weapons. Beyond that it's a flip of the coin.
Until 9/11 and then Iraq, I would have said yes indeed the US would/should have superior Intelligence to Britain and France.

Do you have something on which you can substantiate your opinion? Historically the US has had better technology. And as any intelligence agency will say you need to have boots on the ground to supplement the technology. No satellite or bug or..... can see into peoples expressions, tone of voice, the look of an eye....
Well if you cant see that Bush isnt taking his own Intel advice-I dont know.
What has he done that demonstrates he's not taking their advice?
Im no supporter of Iran, but two wrongs dont make a right. You are still not answering the question.

Waldo-its obvious that Bush is just doing as he always does.
Backs Israel.

I will agree with one thing he said.
As Russia has supplied them-they dont need to enrich their own uranium.

There is no advice about israel in the NIE. So what is he doing that says he's ignoring what the NIE says?
Why hasnt he made any big deal over Israel having the bomb?
Israel's had the bomb for more than 20 years. They haven't threatened anyone with it. They haven't threatened to remove anyone from power. Why should he, or anyone be worried about israel having the bomb?
