Well I go into the hospital this morning for eye surgery on my right eye! It does not sound like much fun especially the injection by my eye! I just hope it is worth it.

What are you having done AFT? I've had several surgeries on my eyes.

Is it cataract surgery? I had that and you never feel the injection in your eye because they knock yer butt out for five minutes, THEN shoot up yer eyeball ;)

Piece o' cake!!!

Hope the procedure goes well, AFT. The mere words 'eye surgery' are scary... but I bet it won't be half as bad as it sounds!

*keeping fingers crossed*

I had surgery on my eyes when I was 4 years old, for amblyopia (lazy eyes).

I want to get lasic, maybe I can get the Army to pay for it. That'd be pretty sweet.

Well my surgery went great. It was for a cataract on my right eye. They did not knock me out though but believe me I was in no pain. Before surgery they put three different drops in my eyes and hooked me up to an IV and left me in a room for what seemed like forever but I didn't care after a short time I wasn't worried about a thing. When I went into the surgery room they asked me how I felt and I said that "I love everybody" and they all laughed. Well I did at the moment;) anyway. I did not feel the injection at all. It was strange being awake while the did the surgery though. Everyone was really very nice. The only bad part was wearing the patch because when my eye itched I could not scratch it but it was well worth it because I can see much better in my right eye!!! Thanks. :)

After I had my cataracts removed (both eyes) I couldn't believe how blind I had been!! lol

And it was wierd being awake and hearing them as they worked on me. I could even hear the "vacuum cleaner" (as I call it) as they were suctioning off the old lens.

Now I have serial numbers on my eyeballs :D

Glad things went well for you AFT. Will you have to have the left eye done too?

Tylerbaby, well you sure are right on the money. I can't believe how much better I can see. Especially driving at night. I go to the doctor next week for a follow up and we will discuss if I want to do my left eye, but I am thinking at this time I am going to wait on that. My vision in my left eye is good although now I have a cataract in that one too. It just has not affected my vision like the other one did.
