LOL...

*sings*

You say to-may-to, I say to-mah-to,
You say KIDNAP, I say ARREST

Just another case of 'you can run, but you can't hide' -- British citizens (and others) would be smart to remember that saying if they come to America to commit crimes and think they can get away with it by fleeing back to their homeland. Hell, we've got enough criminals of our own without importing them!

Awwwww, worrying about Canadians coming to the U.S. to commit crimes has never been the top of our worry-list.

BTW, welcome to Allforums. Always nice to *see* a new face.

Lets be honest-if charges are filed in a US court for British subjects who are living in the UK-make no mistake, theyll get a free one way ticket to America.

Court or no court.

lets be honest, if charges are filed, there's normally more than enough evidence to convict even with the overwhelming burden of proof we have.

And none of them are illegal aliens, right?!? :)

If someone is wanted in another country for crime [USA]

then most nations will extradite them-if sufficent evidence is produced.

i know that, but it's not what you know, it's what you can prove-and proving they don't have a visa or record of birth in the U.S. is pretty easy:thumbs:

You say KIDNAP, I say ARREST Yeah, what's the difference? Execpt for that silly old Bill of Rights - you know, Due Process and all that other old-fashioned stuff nobody believes in any more.

A senior lawyer for the American government has told the Court of Appeal in London that kidnapping foreign citizens is permissible under American law because the US Supreme Court has sanctioned it....The US government's view emerged during a hearing involving Stanley Tollman, a former director of Chelsea football club and a friend of Baroness Thatcher, and his wife Beatrice. The Tollmans, who control the Red Carnation hotel group and are resident in London, are wanted in America for bank fraud and tax evasion. They have been fighting extradition through the British courts.
I wonder if the same thing applies to other countries? Does Britain, for example, get to snatch Americans the same way? Germany? Pakistan?

no, just the guy who does her lawn...

don't tell her, but he speaks english better than she does. he just doesn't want to talk to her. once she gets started, she doesn't stop and he's got other customers to get to.

Yes, but we're talking about illegals in this instance. Not what everyone else is doing. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Well if you come back with a practical solution to the illegal Immigration problem in the United States, then no problem-lets hear it.

Maybe-but try telling that to someone who has nothing,so nothing to loose,
who only wants a better life for themselves and their families.

Yeah-these people are real hardline criminals.

While I understand their predicament, I still don't want these folks to come unwelcome into my house, eat my food, and sleep in my bed.

It's like stealing a car because you don't have a way to work. The means DO NOT justify the end.
