Snow is very good. I'm glad we usually have at least a few inches herabouts.
Also, pretty colored lights, white lights, tinsel trees, white trees with white bulbs, candles, old Christmas hymns, carolers, bayberry and cinnamon, shiny glittery things, shiny red and gold ornaments, "A Christmas Carol" and Tiny Tim, John-Boy Walton taking a sleigh ride with the old ladies, presents, ham, turkey, standing rib roast, mincemeat pies, pumpkins pies, apple pies, hot chocolate and peppermint, eggnog, Johnny Walker Black, apple cider, striped hard candy, stockings, jolly people who are normally grumpy.....
I love Christmas!

I second that...but some events that happened last year on Christmas eve kinda ruined it for me.. I want so badly to get back the warm fuzzy feeling I get thinking about Christmas and decorating and all that fun stuff.
For me it was the snow then the music then lots of cuddling with the one you love and just being silly..building snowmen and making love in front a roaring fire.

Eggnog
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the milk-based beverage. For the Melvins album, see Eggnog (album).
Two common varieties of organic eggnog in the dairy case of a U.S. grocery store.Eggnog (or egg nog) is a sweetened dairy-based beverage made with milk, cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture), and flavoured with ground cinnamon and nutmeg; alcoholic versions also exist with the addition of various liquors, such as rum, brandy, or whisky. Eggnog is popular in North America. Eggnog is associated with winter celebrations such as Christmas and New Year's. Commercial, non-alcoholic eggnog is available around Christmas time and during the winter and it is available all year round in Australian stores.

*shudders* ....soynog!
For me, I don't get into the Christmas season until after my birthday. But a couple of things that help are snow, some Christmas music, being a part of the rush at the mall even if I'm not buying anything, being with family and friends...and football in the snow!

The Christmas tree with all the lights is what gets me in the spirit. But I love Christmas but I always love it when it's over. At least all the craziness of it!

And then, we have yucky January and February to get through--blah!
At least Feb has Valentine's Day!

What's really depressing is that we will look back 1 year from now and think, Didn't we just have Christmas. Where does the time go????

Maybe one of these years we'll get smart and leave the stuff up all year, like my uncle does.
The lights, tree, and Frosty blowups look real spiffy in his yard when it's Fourth of July.

We had ours yesterday, you psychic devil!
We were closed, and had a catered lunch, songs, free doorprizes, and our service awards. I rec'd a blanket and a gift of choice for 25 fun filled years at the library.
I won a drinking cup for my Johnny Walker, champagne, and eggnog concoction, and I also won a centerpiece.
All at the taxpayer's expense...it's a tough job but someone's got to do it.

Every year you pack away the tree lites-in working order.
Every year you bring them down from the loft-they're NOT working.
Whats going on.

We were supposed to have Christmas at my parents house but that has changed. It will be Cody and I, we'll get into the christmas spirit once I get a tree up and we start decorating.
Yes, snow always helps, and eggnog.
