Police in Slovakia and Hungary have arrested three people for allegedly trying to sell 2.2lb of radioactive material,officals said.

Slovak Police spokesman Martin Korch said the three were planning to sell the
unspecified material in Slovakia for $1 million.

He said Slovak and Hungarian Police had been working on the case for several
months.

Apparently they haven't determined what kind of radioactive material they have. If it's fissile material you have your "nightmare scenario". If it's medical waste, it's not quite so alarming. A "dirty bomb" would be ugly, but so would blowing up a tank car full of ammonia or some such. There's plenty of stuff right in your own back yard without getting too exited about one kilo of radioactive material in Slovakia. :)

Hi again Paulc, Hope that I have things spelled right and please forgive me if I don't or didn't. I am going to play anyway.

We all know that the old Soviet Union is going to sell thermal nuclear stuff that will be either an atomic explosion or a dirty bomb. The question is :) where is it going to be delivered? It is going to and it has to happen. Nobody knows where.

All the folk that are east of Iraq have nuke stuff. All of them. "The Kings of the East." Christian bible, sort of stuff. We just hope that all they do is march :)
