(Note to posters: The following is not meant to be insulting. I am in a capricious mood and wish to try my hand at writing in rant style. The concerns are legitimate and the tone is anger, but mock anger. No disrespect is intended.)
Your solution is not one a computer scientist, such as myself, would posit to solve the problem. Scumbelina can't start a thread. You give her a link in a specific thread that allows her to start a thread in one forum. Can you see the problem here? You gave her a nonextensible, nonflexible, inconveniently placed hack to a legitimate problem. Now she has to search for the thread called "Are you a thread starter or poster?" in order to post a thread. And not only does she have to do that, but it's a solution that only allows her to post in Chat Central! What if she wants to start a Political thread? She's SOL! I mean, sure, she could figure out that the 7 refers to the forum ID number, and determine the other forums' ID numbers by their URLs, but do you honestly think she will? She can't find the New Thread button to begin with! From a usability perspective, your solution is quite possibly the worst solution to the problem. It has too many holes, and does not offer enough functionality to be useful to the end-user. F See me after class.

Well, I hafta tell ya, yer post is VERY FUNNY INDEED but now I'm more confused than ever.
Wait a sec. Someone posted in more detail on where to look and what to click on, I do believe. Hell, I dunno. I haven't had any stimulants yet this morning so I'm a bit groggy. The stimulants I'm refering to is caffeine so don't get yer boxers in a bunch, ok?
Ok then, I'm gonna go back and read the other posts and figger out how to make a thread..... even if it kills me and it truly may.
But - - - COFFEE FIRST!!

Scummy dear,
Scroll up to the top of the page. At the very top, over on the far left you will see where it says Allforums. If you click on that you will get to the Allforums home page. This page list all the different sub fora in Allforums. Click on one of the sub fora, say politics for instance. As soon as you click on it you will see the words New Thread in a little rectangular box. Click on that and you will be able to start a new thread.
