I think Victoria's Secret is WAY too expensive... I pay like $5 max per pair of underwear and $10-15 max for bras... And that is definitely a maximum price. :p

Just found some very nice thongs for about $5, so I bought 4, 2 red and 2 black. The matching bra was in that price range too, so yeah, student budget :)

But it IS xmas soon...

I think it's worth paying the little extra for a great product. I don't have a problem paying more for it and look stunning when the time is right. ;)

Yes, a new home. :D
I'm so happy to finally own my own house for my son and I. I used to live in a condo but it was over-rated.:@@:
I've been busy painting and wallpapering, and all that great stuff.

PS.. It's too bad about the cost you would pay because of the taxes. :(

There are good shops here too, but it is a lot more expensive in general :(
Those shoes I linked (image in the other thread) I got for $30, which was pretty good IMO.

Gotta admire you buying your own place tho, I had a hard time making things work when I owned my own place with a low payed job. Now I've sold it, moved and was incredibly lucky to get a nice place with low rent.

OK, I take that back.

Girls who go out in their pajamas should have their bottoms shimmied down and summarily spanked.

Boys who go out in their pajamas should be tasered.

I agree...socialy why would you want to get out of bed and wear that stuff in public..I mean it is not lingerie but even the baggy pants and a t..it is so slumpy...If you can take the time to get your arse out of bed..take the time to dress and look respectable..if not go back to bed.

O.o a new house :)
Decided how you wanna have it looking?
When I got my last apartment I had quite a few shopping trips with my friends. Mostly Ikea but also a few other places within my budget.

Edit: Victoria's Secret is not that bad price wise, would double by the time I got it tho. Those shoes are nice tho.
IKEA!

we have one of those around here, but when i'm anywhere near it, it is way past closing time :(

I hate the damn pajama thing. Puts some pants on, show some self respect. I remember Bill Maher saying he hated the countrys obsession with striving to be as casual as possible. It is true, WTF is so hard aot putitng on your big boy pants before you go out the door?

Agreed. Lounge pants were made for one thing: lounging. I hope the next guy who goes out in lounge pants gets hit by lightning!

Well, lounging is what I do at school... (More like sleeping in some classes :p) So I think PJ pants are semi-appropriate for school. I think it's way MORE ridiculous when I see girls walking around campus in the snow and sleet wearing miniskirts and super high heeled boots and tiny shirts with a very small jacket on top... Or the guy who wears shorts and no shoes when it's 40 degrees outside...

There are girls at Uni wearing skirts and no tights under even on snowy freezing days here too. Bare legs is just not that smart in this climate...

High heeled boots and jeans work fine tho. Works for me, but then I dont use very high heels, too tall for that :)

It's quite easy, just avoid the slim heels they get stuck in stuff if you're not careful :)

But yeah, comfy flat shoes is the way to go if it's gonna be a long day...

Not 10 minutes after posting this, I was leaving campus and saw a guy on his bike wearing his tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirt and a bath robe. The lightning hasn't struck yet, but that's about as lazy as I've ever seen it.

Here, 9th grade is the first year of high school. Almost all high schools start before 8 am here. My brother is in 10th grade, he gets on the bus at 7 am but I'm not sure what time he actually starts school. I think around 7:30.

AngelinaC
01-03-2008, 01:56 PM
Well, the names are different in our language anyway, I just use a name that is similar. These days they start at age 6 in 1st grade and then go 7 years. Then they switch to another school for 3 years, grade 8 to 10.

After that you can do whatever you want, continue for another 3 years and then join a uni or college, or learn a trade or just play computergames like my brother did :)

DarkFantasy96

We have elementary school (kindergarten through 5th grade, about ages 5 through 10), middle school (6th through 8th grade, ages 11-13), and high school (9th through 12th grade, ages 14 to 17 or 18). I believe the legal age to drop out of school everywhere in the U.S. is 16.

I think schools are getting somewhat standardized all over the world now, specially higher education.
