Would this woman qualify for a real-abortion.....or, a "dream"-abortion (http://www.wlwt.com/news/14561039/detail.html)?

Why, perish the thought that this 23 year old white woman would be allowed to abort the little bundle of mulatto joy.

I maen, just because it will be born half black, and HIV positive, and from a stranger she does not know who is in prison doesn't mean she gets to abort the fetus.

Conservative 'morality' forbids it, I tell you!!

Just because the little tyke will be born into a world of unrelenting pain and misery due to having an incurable disease doesn't mean that Jeezus doesn't want him for another little sunbeam.

...and the "liberal" conundrum would be... Is it really rape if the woman is "asleep"?

I'd agree.....except that there is not much of a conundrum in this for me.

If rape is defined as forcible sex, then this case was probably not rape.

The sex act with the woman is not what's troubling about it. She didn't even know it happened if she was asleep. What is VERY troubling however is that this woman has put herself into a position where she might contract AIDS. Truly a sad and tragic case.

I would assume that if a woman is in a coma, that would be OK? She's not resisting... therefore it wouldn't be "forced".
