A friend gave me two free tickets to see Billy Joel in Oakland at the Oracle Coliseum for saturday night. Well he didn't tell me that they were in the top row of the place but it was really a good show. Joel played almost two and a half hours. No opening act. It was almost sold out. This was suppose to be a greatest hits tour and he certainly played them. His band was really good to. He is a real performer and likes to talk to the audience a lot. He also would play little bits of different songs through out the night which was cool. He played a little White Rabbit,by Jefferson Airplane and Scott Macenzie's San Francisco.Then he said he was going to let his raodie sing a gospel song an old standard and if the audience did not like it they could boo him. Well the audience did not seem to keen on the idea but when Chainsaw(his roadie )came out they started playing AC/DC's HIghway to Hell. Billy Joel played guitar. The audience went wild. He got a encore and played some more hits and "I left my heart in San Fransicso"
