I finally bit the bullet and replaced my ancient Nissan. Yesterday I bought a 2001 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6. Damn thing is loaded with your leather seats and your power everything and so forth. Pretty inexpensive, too. I'm still getting used to driving something that big; parallel parking will be a chore for the immediate future, as the midsized Sonata is larger than my old compact Stanza.

Good Luck with it Borg.

Got a full electric pack on the drivers door I see.

Pretty much like the model ya get here, apart from being automatic and left hand.

I generally prefer manual transmissions...but not in Chicago. A stick would be a royal pain in the stop and go traffic here.

Yeah I can imagine man.

When I get in at nite my left knee is throbbing changing gear all day.

PS. watch out for the ice in coming days.

Borg, congrats! Nice looking vehicle. I think you will find she handles well. I noticed it is a V6. They handle better on winter roads and the difference in gas isn't all that different to a 4.

Not bad, Borg. Hyundai has come way up in quality and reliability and not a lot of folks recognize that, keeping the prices low. First chance you get, get it on a lift & take a good look everywhere for indications of any serious rust. Winters take an evil toll on vehicles, some more quickly than others.

LOL, Sal, this is America. No one drives anything with 4 cylinders anymore. :p

Isn't that the truth...

Aren't we supposed to be doing the hybrid thing to save the environment and all of that good stuff? Hell no. :D

might i suggest Zeibart's used car rust proofing service...and flowing the service schedule to the letter.
:drive:

FYI-don't have any work done on it away from a dealer that might even be remotely covered by warrenty or recall:thumbs:
