"One year out from the 2008 election, Americans are deeply pessimistic and eager for a change in direction from the agenda and priorities of President Bush, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
Concern about the economy, the war in Iraq and growing dissatisfaction with the political environment in Washington all contribute to the lowest public assessment of the direction of the country in more than a decade (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2007/11/04/ST2007110400561.html?hpid=topnews). Just 24 percent think the nation is on the right track, and three-quarters said they want the next president to chart a course that is different than that pursued by Bush.
Overwhelmingly, Democrats want a new direction, but so do three-quarters of independents and even half of Republicans. Sixty percent of all Americans said they feel strongly that such a change is needed after two terms of the Bush presidency."

Then Amazingly ALL one { hopefully sane enough } has to do
is Listen and watch ANY Democrtic Presidential Debate.
Then....VOILA...faster than a speeding Superman and hearing
more attune than a herd of Deer, preparing for the upcoming
huntin season and ALL is well and it ain't eben 10 o'clock
and the church mice rule the aisles.
Cuz sure as God made Little green apples and it don't
rain on Sasquatch in the Wintertime,Our Pres will indubitably
go down as Far the superior to Slick Willy.
Both in terms of Future trends and security as well Moral integrity.
Bush 43 may even have to compete with Bigfoot to see who
squashes Slick Willy in future Hollywood fare.

No. Unlike the NeoCons' Daddy-Knows-Best sales-pitch, a Dem-voter understands there's (actual) Work required (the bane of "conservatives"; nationwide)....and, you're actually expected to <horrors> THINK-for-yourself!!!
Yeah....I hate to be the bearer of bad-news, but....begining in '09....we'll (more-than-likely) be saddled with another 8 years of that dreaded prosperity-stuff (http://clinton5.nara.gov/WH/Accomplishments/eightyears-01.html), and....running-with-the ("conservative") lemmings will no longer (automatically) award you the title of American-Patriot.

I guess that explains { at least in yer warped mindset } why
Congress has done such a great job under the tutelage of
Madame Bela Pelosi and 11% approval rating.
Only could a nutter Dimocrat be so intune with their inner
dissimulating selves and also hoodwink America, yet Further.

75% want change.
Much more than those polled after the end of eight years of peace and prosperity under President Clinton, even more after the eight years of inept Ronald Wilson Reagan.

I guess Lil' Dumbya can (always) brag-about a "surplus" in ONE area (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/04/AR2007110400953.html?hpid=sec-nation)!! (....As-long-as the general-public doesn't ask too-many questions.)

"Defense officials have said they hope to try approximately 80 additional detainees at military commissions. It is unclear what would happen to the roughly 160 remaining detainees who the United States deems too dangerous to release but who will not go to trial."
