I attended Woodstock in 1969. More than a concert, it was a real event.
Other fine concerts I've had the privilege of attending:
Grateful Dead in Egypt
The Beatles in NYC
There are many more to list, but those are the most memorable.

Bob Dylan preforming at Lorelei am Rhine (a spectacular ampitheater on the Rhine River) in Germany.
Styx preforming their Paradise Theater show at the Frankfurt Festhalle in Germany.
Both of those concerts held in the early / mid 1980's.

I seen Metallica,Manson,Poison, slaughter, cinderella,Motle y Crue,perform.. Fallout is still my fatorite
I think the most memorable concert would be the time i saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers in pheonix arizona becuase they put on a great stage show, there music is great, the whole concert arena was dancing, and the flaming lips opened for them and there a great band too! Lalapalooza 2003 was cool too even though its more of an event than a real concert!

I don't think I would've ever heard of GWAR without Beavis and Butthead. :D
Anyway - best show would be either Rush on the Roll the Bones tour or Depeche Mode on the Violator tour.

Gwar crack me up. they came near me once, but I was about 12, and there was no way I was geting into an over 18 show. don't you love the scene with them in empire records?

hard pick for me.
I have to think about it...
i love going to shows. my first was in 84 i was nine.....Cyndi Lauper.....my mom is cool. Then i saw Whitney Houston way back when she could sing. then it was either Madonna or Depech Mode. Madonna in Toronto during the Blonde Ambition tour, where the cops were going to have her arrested on the second night for lewd acts.....that was in 91 I think and she hasn't been back!!!
I've seen Bob Dylan several times over the years, I think the best time was when Santana opened for him......unforgettable. Metallica was good, Beastie Boys awesome, Pink Floyd an all out experience. Steve Miller a party, David Wilcox was drunk when I saw him. I've been to see the Dead a couple times, Love the music though Once summer of that scene was enough for me.........
David Bowie was good, I think I saw Jethro Tull one time, can't rember with who right now...
The Chili Peppers are so good, man. I need to see them again soon.......
Uh that's all I can remember right now.....
Oh yeah, one night we walked onto this ancient blues bar on my 19th birthday and Jeff Healy happened to be playing there......like it was this little dive I can't remember the name of. He was paying a visit to the place he started out at. So cool real intimate jam. Almost forgot that one!

Yup crappy dive in Bay Shore Long Island. IT took me a month before all the red was washed out of my underwear. We were soaked in what I would assume was punch, or some red colored liquid. Very fun, very loud.

Oh yeah the whole rock ensemble. It's more like a musical then a concert. Kinda like Xena on acid.
I find their lyrics a bit distasteful in my older age, but at the time it was fun. One usually doesn't go for the music more then the stage show.
Best concerts.....in 1993 Lenny Kravitz, Blues Traveler, and Dave Matthews Band came to the Woodlands Pavillion ouside of Houston. It was kinda funny though because John Popper was so drunk he continued to sing the same lyric over and over and the band finally just stopped playing! hahahhaha.
Smashing Pumpkins in Lubbock, Texas 1992 I think.
Sting 2001 Dallas
Paul Simon 2000 Dallas
Tori Amos 2001 Dallas
Thinking back, what made them so wonderful was either the company I was with.... or the recreations, which I have grow out of. Well, not all :hula:

well, the music was pretty good, when he played beatles stuff, which was most of the time time. the jet and solo stuff was ok. he's just getting old, and he's not an amazing showman anymore. but his stories were adorable, and hey jude was incredible. the whole arena was singing the nanananas. I really can't be very objective, becasue it was my first cocnert, and as I said, he's a fucking Beatle. but it will be great, that much I promise.

Prince - Sign 'o' the times tour '87

Recently went to MTV's Campus Invasion and saw Hoobastank and Ima Robot.
Ima Robot sucked.
Lostprophets was a no-show, which really ticked me off.
Hoobastank made up for most of the shortfalls...good show by them.

ha, when I went to se the Strokes they took atleast an hour to come on. when they did, Julian was gripping to his mike stand for support. everytime he tried to drink more beer it would spill all over himself and the stage. I saw them at the fleet pavilion, in Boston, which isn't too big. I of cours,e did not notice the size. I was right up front screaming little 12 year old heart out.
silverbullter: the Lostprophets are a screamo boyband. in case you haven't noticed yet. but they're really cute. I wtach all their videos on mute. :D

if I had different parents I never would have been able to go to concerts like that. I honestly don't know any other parents who would pay for Strokes tickets, or let their 9 year old buy a Nirvana cd. I swear I learn more from being a music nerd than from ost of my classes at school.

my aunt actually took me, not my parents. they would never have let me go to a concert by myself when I was 12. but my aunt was pretty awesome for taking me, and my parents are surprisingly supportive of my obsession. they drive me to buy cds on the day the come out sometimes, and my mom doesn't mind getting fragged to the east village for my favortie record store every time we're in New York. but they avoid taking me to loud concerts themselves.

Paul McCartney? Wow! Impressive. Was he good?
I haven't been to many major concerts, but loads of local gigs. My favourite concert is hard to choose. I recently went to see my favourite band ever, Incubus, and they were amazing live, astounding, but I didn't get to stay the whole set, because someone let off gas, and I was ill :(
Thursday are also amazing live.

Paul McCartney? Wow! Impressive. Was he good?
He was better than good. Not only did he put on a wonderful show, he did some of his classic songs (both Beatles and Wings). Among the songs he played were: Get Back, Back in the USSR, the Long and Winding Road, Helter Skelter, Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, Lady Madonna, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Penny Lane, Black Bird, Yesterday, Let it Be, Jet, Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, etc.
I must admit that I did chuckle when he played Hey Jude and the entire stadium sang along with the na na na nas.
But the man's a leyend and with good reason.

I have been to two Zep concerts, the first was awesome, the second was a riot as they played one song and walked off the stage and left the show.
But the first was about 60k people in a stadium and all I remember is the music put me in a state of euphoria.
I wore a black arm band with John henry died and I still miss the sounds they created. Even the in through the outdoor album........
