According to an AP poll (http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003663683), 1 in 3 Americans (33%) believe in ghosts, whereas (http://americanresearchgroup.com/economy/) only 25% of Americans approve of George W. Bush's performance as President.

What you failed to mention DB is that the disparity between those who believe in ghosts and approve of Congress is even greater than that between ghost believers and Bush approvers. I guess you can do anything you want with statistics but you always run the risk of winding up with egg on your face.

Here's a washcloth. Wipe the egg off.:lolhit:

Maybe people find ghosts more interesting thn Bush.

It's also a big selling point when you go to sell your house. Everyone wants to live in a haunted abode. Just make sure it's actually legit before you list it....unlike the Amiteyville house, which was a hoax.

And then we have a DEM presidential candidate who's been visited by a UFO!

Dennis Kucinich's UFO Comments Prove He's Nuts
Wednesday, October 31, 2007

By John Gibson

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I know he's not going to be president, so there is an argument for not giving Dennis Kucinich a kick in the pants. But, with apologies to the congressman in advance, I'm afraid I must.

About 24 hours after Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich pronounced President Bush crazy for even thinking there might have to be war with Iran, the Ohio congressman was asked if, in fact, while visiting with Shirley MacLaine he had actually seen a UFO.

Remember: This is a guy who feels free to say Bush is crazy one day and admit something the next day that many, if not most, people think proves a person is crazy.

If you've seen UFOs you probably shouldn't go around calling other people nuts. If you admit to seeing a UFO, martians, space creatures, big foot and all the rest, you are by definition on the defensive against a charge of craziness.

The congressman doesn't eat meat. Perhaps that is an explanation.

And the rest of you who have seen UFOs, please don't send angry e-mails. It's not going to make any difference -- I'll still think y'all are crazy.

Oh, and by the way, it isn't just Bush who thinks we might be forced into conflict with Iran. The French president said so publicly at his U.N. speech a couple months ago. And even Muslim states are recognizing this might be reality.

It's bad, but it's not crazy. However, now we know who actually is crazy.

.........and we know who's a bit of a condescending know it all......and that would be Mr Gibson.....with all due respect, UFO merely means unidentified flying object--a phenomenon that's been witnessed by literally tens of thousands around the globe.

What many of them are we cannot say with any degree of certainty..... but to call the witnesses insane seems unsufferably rude.

Maybe it was the fact that he visited with Shirley MacLaine that makes him cRaZy?

LOL, politics aside, I admire Mr. Kucinich's courage in coming forward with his story, knowing full well he was going to be laughed at, ridiculed, called a drunk or insane by those who've never experienced anything "odd" in their own lives and who consider it easier to laugh and make fun than to investigate. The man has my sympathy, poor fella. and I mean that.

Yeah, I agree. Some things are better left unspoken... unless called before a judge and sworn in.

Seems like a nice enough guy and his policies are pretty sane. Too bad most Americans would be hesitant to vote for anyone who claimed to have seen a UFO.

I'd still choose him over Mrs. C... no matter if he was wearing a tinfoil hat!

Excuse me, but could you please point out in your link where it states that Kucinich said that he saw a UFO...................??

I see where he was asked a question. I do not see where he gave the answer you're claiming that he gave.

Thanks.

If you follow the link posted in the article, there's a video of his reply, FT.

(Kucinich) Seems like a nice enough guy and his policies are pretty sane.

WTF???

Dennis Kucinich's policies (http://www.dennis4president.com/go/issues/) are liberal, which you hate.

He wants the first order of business for the next President to be arresting George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
I would expect you to be apoplectic over his policies.

I hardly ever read such dramatic nonsense, Dharma... otherwise, I'd be hanging on your every word! I went to his website and reviewed his stance on policies that interest me. Although I admit, his opposition to Hillary and Obama was the main thing I liked about him. Other than that, he kinda looks like a squirrel... and his wife looks like a hooker.

Not much danger in me voting Dem next election anyway. Unless they come up with somebody entirely new between now and then.

Say... why don't YOU run? Save all those funds you donate to people you agree with and put 'em to good use in your own campaign!

DHARMA FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008!

Thanks for your oh-so relevant and insightful analysis of Dennis Kucinich's policies after your obviously scrutinizingly careful review.
Apparently you possess a keen mind which is not to be trifled with.

I believe in ghosts...

I think the possibility of UFO's exist... ones that aren't from our planet..

go ahead and laugh at me.

As for the title thread... it's true, but it's not really relevant news. *yawn*
