The old adage is, "Starve a fever, feed a cold.", Mikezilla.

When we were kids our mother used alcohol baths to cool our fevers. She would mix rubbing alcohol with cool water and dip a cloth into it and wipe our foreheads. The evaporating liquid cooled us down.

Once when I ran a very high fever she placed me in a tub of cold water to which she had added ice cubes. That broke the fever in one big hurry.

The question is.... Did they lap the heatsink AND the kids head? I assume they used arctic silver for better conductivity.
