Here is one that is depressing and maddening.
I don't think there is any real debates on this issue either... we just choose to throw a little money at the problem and hope it goes away.

Sorry, it's a long video... but well worth watching.

Yet another example of why it's time for unions to go away - not from every employment situation - but certainly some of them.

There is nothing wrong with our educational system. It is our society that is all fucked up. The state of our schools is just reflective of that.
Kids who do have supportive and stable home lives excel in our school system.

Our society IS a problem.. and there is really nothing anyone can do about it. The only way the trend would change is if the media started labeling being happy, unselfish, modest, giving, respectful, and pleasant as "cool"... not to mention falling to the least common denominator, which we definitely do and will continue to do.
There is really no way to combat it.. all the people who control everything are there because of their love of money, power, and themselves. I don't see a dramatic change coming.. so yea you will continue to see F'd up families, people throwing their lives away, and people trying to be like what they see on TV... its a shame

Yup. Driven by the ethic that all perspectives are valuable. That the notion of standards of soical norms or mores is offensive, discriminatory, and patronizing.

Is there someone in particular who puts forward this argument?
