.....assuming you weren't drunk, as well?

"Deflecting a question about the recent Israeli missile strike on Syria, President Bush refused to comment on his reaction to a similar strike by Israel 26 years ago saying he doesn't "remember what I was doing in 1981." (http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Bush_I_dont_remember_what_I_1017.html)

Old friends of the president told New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof in 2000 that Bush was a "late bloomer," who had perhaps a bit too much fun in his younger days.

"As he approached 40, an age when Al Gore was already a senator running for president," Kristof observed, "George W. Bush was just a heavy-drinking, fun-loving oilman struggling to control his tempter, salvage his business and hold on to his marriage."

Was in my 13th year of active duty, stationed in Germany, awaiting the birth (in Dec) of our first (& only) child.

What were you doing, Shaman?

Bush was waiting for his twins to be born. He tells us he was "working for a living" back then. What ancient history. But he has been "sober" since 1974 so the story goes. But probably couldn't even find Israel on the map back then.

The question isn't properly answered by giving someone else's history, truthout. What's the matter - ashamed of your behaviors back then, or simply can't remember? One thing for sure - you've demonstrated an aversion to answering direct questions.

In other words a real person, not a robot politician who is perfect in every way, except in being a real person.
