The God of Jesus, "A loving God.", is like no other God that has ever existed in the history of Mankind.
In the past everything about God is about "Power and don't piss Me off!". And now, if what Jesus said is real, we are dealing with a God that is all about "Love". What happened?
Did Jesus cause God to be reborn, to change in some sense? If you are a "reborn Christian", does that mean that you now worship the God of "Love"?
What do you guys think? Is it possable that Jesus snuck a new God into things and we missed it? Is it possible that God said, "Ah man!", and rebirthed Himself?

that is a good question, and one I ask myself too. The thing is god knows everything that is going to happen, so it was planned all along for Christ to be born and die on the cross. it is mentioned many times in the old testament that a messiah would appear. Jesus fulfilled ever prophecy laid out in the old testament that foretold the coming of the messiah.
the thing I wonder also is, since Jesus was god and knew everything there was to know about the bible, did he do the things that were prophesized just to do them or did they just happen because they were prophesy? In the bible it says that Jesus did things to fulfill a prophecy. It is confusing.

I love you Travh :) Your questions are very current, probably clear back to ancient times :) maybe even to prehistory.
The one thing that we know about Jesus, is that He was here to change things. 2000 years later, what he was here to change is abit obscure.
About Jesus being God. This is what we pretty much know: Mary was of virgin birth. She was half God. Jesus was of virgin birth, from Mary, so he was three quarters God. Jesus never actually called Himself the Son of God. His followers called Him the Son of God and God. Jesus called Himself the "son of man." And Jesus's message was that you have a "loving" Father. And that we as mankind/humankind can be an adopted child of God. What ever that means?
the thing I wonder also is, since Jesus was god and knew everything there was to know about the bible, did he do the things that were prophesized just to do them or did they just happen because they were prophesy? In the bible it says that Jesus did things to fulfill a prophecy. It is confusing.
Maybe either way :) He might of! And yes it is confusing! Nobody with any thinking sense can get around that one.
Personally Travh, I think the whole thing needs some discusion, pro and/or con. The whole thing is a mess. And that is just Christianity.

I have to admit tuck when you post things like this part of me wants to dismiss it right away as just a bleak way of looking at things... and then something about your wording tugs at me to take my own moral inventory to see what i really believe.

LF :) one has to respect the fact, that what you said was well said. So let me say this relative to this topic, I do not care what you believe, just feel free to step in and kick some "tush", pick a side or both sides, all is well. This is All Forums.net, minds at play :)
Are "we" Christians worshipping a different God (He ain't old testement Jewish!)? If we are Christians that are "not" worshipping a "Loving" God, then are we really Christians?
Is the God of Jesus the problem or are Christians the problem? Even Knappy wouldn't kick a loving person's tush and he is bad :) very very bad :)
