Very nice, but a little spendy right now. Besides, if I get one then I have to upgrade my TiVo. And I'm still on Dolby Pro-Logic surround, not Dolby Digital. I'm loosing ground!

hdtv sets are nice but a little pricey.

They are very pricey, but not only that it is hard to find programming that supports HDTV... I have Direct TV and Digital cable and between the two I MIGHT have 15 channels that support HDTV... I think it would be wise to wait a year or two... The price will come down and all channels will be in HD

I am going to be buying a HDTV this weekend. the rear projection HDTV's are affordable, and are really nice. you can get a 46" wide screen for 1300 dollars. DVD's are awsome on them, and so are video games.

Those ultra thin large widescreen TV's are incredible - if only they weren't $5000
The option Trav mentions is a good one - those rear projection ones are superb just not as thin as the plasma ones
