My first response to this incident, given that she was on the way to alcohol rehab is that the woman suffering from delirium tremens (http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic123.htm) as a result of attempting to self-withdraw from alcohol. The reported behavior she exhibited seems to support that idea. While the initial autopsy results may in fact show that she somehow strangled herself, later results may prove otherwise.

I think its strange she was in a room WITH NO CAMERA!!

Unless she was a houdini - how did she manage to "strangle" herself while being handcuffed with her arms behind her back??Of course, the official autopsy report is not out yet.
It is very sad.
