Hitting a guy who is handcuffed is wrong.

With that said, what did he say to the cop? Its apparent they were talking.

With that said, what did he say to the cop?"Don't punch me, bro."

thats messed up. you look at the guys head the second before he is hit you can see he glances to the back seat getting ready to get in. he body language and head movements prior were relaxed and calm. he did not seem erratic... look at the swagger of the police officer as he was walking away.. This was clearly a case of police abuse.. Not like that jackass kid in florida.

I watched the video, and it looks like he leaned towards the cop in an act of defiance, away from the car.
The officer punched him which is wrong, and it looked more like he strutted away, not staggered, to me.

Swagger and strut mean pretty much the same thing.

I dont know. I have been in situations like that and i wouldn't take a tilt of the head after a suspect just committed a B and E and a multi block foot chase with the police as an act of defiance.

Looking outside of it all now that all the facts are in. We know this suspect was caught in the house, and opted to get the hell out of there rather than confront the home owner. There was no talk of weapon, and from what i read it seems like he was mainly after things he would turn in at a scrap yard. This does not fit the profile of someone that would put up a fight wit the police after he was cuffed and about to be put in the back of a squad car.

and i meant swagger not stagger....for the police officer walking away,,

i can also tell you typically that if a suspect makes the officers run in order to detain him, chances are the whole cuffing and putting in the back of a squad car is going to be a little more rougher.... i think this was the case here.

"worthless pig" (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/10/08/wisconsin.shooting/index.html)

CRANDON, Wisconsin (CNN) -- An off-duty sheriff's deputy used a police-style AR-15 rifle to kill six people at an early morning party in a small Wisconsin town, officials said Monday.
Twenty-year-old Tyler Peterson had gone to the party early Sunday to make amends with his ex-girlfriend, a friend of Peterson's told The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Peterson lost control after people called him a "worthless pig," Mike Kegley told the paper.
Peterson left and got a police-style AR-15 rifle from his truck, forced his way back into the apartment and fired about 30 rounds at about 2:45 a.m. (3:45 a.m. ET). Six people were killed; one person survived and is hospitalized, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said at a Monday news conference.
Peterson was killed in a shootout with law officers Sunday afternoon after negotiations for his surrender failed, officials said. The town's mayor said Tyler was killed by a SWAT team sniper.

The story is so sad, if you can't trust a police officer, who can you trust? It's unbelievable he killed them over an insult.:(

I think the psychological screening is going to come more into play now in the future for these guys that want to be cops.
