It is a fact, that life expectancy have considerably been improved with all the progresses made in medicine and life quality. Whatever how old you are, you have to decide how you want to live the rest of your life. So I let you to answer the question.

I wish to spend it just as I am now. Interacting with my family, traveling, wintering in Florida, spending summers on Long Island, playing golf, watching a bit of t.v., sitting at the computer, going out with my wife or with friends.

Life is good and I hope it continues in the same vein for a long time.

According to the life expectancy test, I'm underweight, but if I gained weight, would live to be 102! :woohoo:

According to that test,I am underweight but will still live to 96 or beyond
How the heck is 110 pounds underweight for someone who's only 5'3?

I should live to be 101 apparently... But it says I should weigh 139 pounds. There is no way I'm gaining 20 pounds. >_<

:p It's the drinking, LF. Gotta cut down on that crap. I drink sometimes, but never more than once a month.

I'd hardly say that I don't have a care in the world. I've had my brushes with alcoholism and drug addiction, and I'm sure I'll have more. I am in a very good place in my life right now, not drinking and partying too much, family's not on welfare, my dad isn't pawning all our stuff for heroin (at the moment), I'm in a stable and healthy relationship, and I'm doing well in school. I know, though, that it could take a sharp turn downhill at anytime, as it has in the past. Especially since my dad the sometimes-druggie psychopath seems to be on the downswing lately.

i was just referring to how your life is just about to take off. Everything is in front of you. Hun i know we all got our demons... you totally got the wrong idea of what i meant.

"Speak for yourself, Captain, I plan on living forever."
I should start by saying how I plan to live my own life. Well, I hope to live my life happily. Being a symbol of hope and success. Helping many apreciating life for what it is. I want to set a path to follow.

Um... Really don't know where you got that idea. :p

Sorry I misunderstood you, LF. I thought you were saying that I didn't have a care in the world... Totally untrue.

Forgive me, but that particular kind of fatalism does not seem very healthy.

Probably not. I am generally more optimistic than that, however. :)

I try to never look at those actuarial charts. I do not want to know when I am supposed to die. I try to live my life as if I will die tomorrow while at the same time living it as if I will live forever. In other words I try to not dwell on death but realize it can come at any time. Try to enjoy each day as if it is your last.

that's a very good way to look at life Frogger. Goodness knows I've watched alot of people who thought they had the rest of their lives ahead of them pass within the last year.
