That problem is elementary. Simple algebra, could be done by a fifth grader.

A really intelligent person would have taken all the informational tabs thereby eliminating the competition.

Most people don't take Algebra until at least 7th grade. In most places, it's a 9th grade course.

You don't even need algebra to figure it out. Just your basic order of operations and exponents. I could have done it in fourth grade.

That's true, I learned the order of operations in fifth grade. And I'm calling bullshit on you knowing it in fourth grade, unless you read it in a textbook on your own outside of school. I didn't learn it until 5th, and I was in a very exclusive magnet program for gifted students.

You could do higher level math in the fourth grade but you can't seem to get to Aruba. What gives?

I remember fourth grade quite vividly. I was an extremely shy kid who played with a calculator at recess instead of playing with the other kids on our, quite impressive, I remember now, playground. Once in awhile I'd get out there with a basketball and play with my one friend. I had just moved to California, away from Lafayette, which had until then been the city I lived in since birth.

I used to program it [the calculator] to do all kinds of things. I also played around with my classroom's Apple IIs and would have gotten a little music program working if I could have ever figured out how to save a program to a floppy disk.

I wish my teacher would have kicked me out of there and made me go play with the other kids.

I never relied on others to figure out the lower level math pictured here. But I have to wait until they're ready for me over in Aruba. Last I heard I'll be out there on Monday-Tuesday. I'm not holding my breath though.

You're a real pain in the ass but I hope everything works out for you and the Aruba stuff pans out as you hope.

Aruba won't pan out as I hoped, but that's alright. I'm gonna do my best to make the most of it, sock some money away, and try to make it down to Venezuela and check out the wildlife there. When I get back, Sparky said he could line me up a job doing avionics for the contracting company he's going to work for. I really liked working on pods, and I agree with him when he says it'd be right up my alley.
