What is typical Irish food, Paul? About the only typically Irish meal I am familiar with is corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes. I figure you probably eat a lot of lamb.
::drools:: That's what we eat on St. Patrick's Day at my grandma's house. I LOVE cabbage. :) I also adore lamb... I had some good stew with lamb in it in Ireland.

Tho I do prefer lamb to most other meats,I dont eat a lot of it.To be honest Irish fod is the most boring on the planet, quality is good, but variety sucks.
I notice that younger people go to McDonalds or KFC these days, nobody cooks in this country anymore.

Homemade soup is good.
Slow boil a joint, throw in soup mix, barley, carrot, scallions, cabbage, peas, and potatoes, simmer for an hour and scoff it down.

I think lamb is my least favorite meat aside from organ meats like liver, sweetbreads, kidneys and lights. Just the smell of lamb cooking can turn me off my feed.

Sounds like what has happened here. No body takes the time to cook any more.

if you are ever really bored... look up McDonald's on the web... check out their international sites... pick a location that speaks English (like Australia) and see the cool shit they have on their menus...

Y eah, they have Mickey D's in Ireland. All the kids drop in for a lamburger after school.

lol... Nah we were driving. I from Galway to... somewhere? I forget where. Anyways we stopped in Limerick so my grandma could go to the tourist office and arrange reservations for a bed & breakfast wherever the hell we were going. I was hungry so we got burgers before heading out on our way again. I have to say, they tasted just like Burger King does here.

I can remember getting a hamburger in Australia and discovering they put beets on it. Ugh!
