Would you like to quote some Scripture? I want too :) and are going too :)

It doesn't matter whether you are Christian or not. We are all a part of this world. It doesn't even matter whether your Scripture is Christian or not, either :)

Discusion of Religious writings on a Religion Forum, nomatter how one looks at religion, has got to be interesting :)

You might have something to say about what you feel that your Scripture quote means, that might be fun also. Ok?

Should you choose to participate in this topic and your interpration of your Scripture comes under sever question or challenge, please don't go "ballistic" with "thermal nuclear" stuff. OK? And I will try to follow my own rules :) EKK!

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by inequities and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who shepards the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truely his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

P.S. Sorry if any parts are incorrect. I was going of pure memory.

A personal favorite... Too many Christians do not follow this parable's message (myself too often included).

Matthew 7: 3-5

"Why do you observe the splinter in your brother's eye and never notice the log in our own? How dare you say to your brother, "let me take the splinter out of your eye", when all the time there is a log in your own? Hypocrite! Take the log out of your own eye first, and then you will see clearly enough to take the splinter out of your brother's eye."

Song of Solomon 4:5

Your two breasts are like two fawns,
like twin fawns of a gazelle
that browse among the lilies.

Song of Solomon5:4

My lover thrust his hand through the latch-opening;
my heart began to pound for him.

5 I arose to open for my lover,
and my hands dripped with myrrh,
my fingers with flowing myrrh,
on the handles of the lock.

Song of Solomon7:7

Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit.

8 I said, "I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit."
May your breasts be like the clusters of the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,

9 and your mouth like the best wine. sweet sweet fawns.

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

First of all Dan you are right. Based on my experience with you as a loved one, "your are right." My question is, "How do I create conflict in the middle of wisedom?" EEk!

Oh yes and this also, "Thank you Dan for your input, it is appreciated!" And I am being honest with you!

Dan, I can't forget man's religion for a moment, otherwise I have no life (even Tucker58 has a weakness :) ). I can pretend to though :) Ok?

So Dan may I ask you this question, "How do I forget man's/humankind's religions and sitll have a "key" to one of the major things?" My actually beloved friend.

Dan, you are a seeker of information and you quest into all sorts of "nooks and crannies." The result of your quest is interesting wisdom. Knowledge is power.

But at the sametime I do not think that "power" is your goal. I think that the "Joy" of seeking is your goal. I hate to seek, but at the sametime God, in my life, has cut me no slack about that one. And the older that I get the more I appreciate it.

The thing that I love about All Forums.net is that it does not matter how I am or what I say :) I am "going" to walk off different! I am old enough to appreciate this also :)

Any whoo :) I can participate in a reality where no religion comes into play. "No problema." But at the sametime God is a player in our reality and He will come up :) without mankind's religions coming into play :) Ok?

No matter where one seeks with an open mind, they are not going to get around the fact that there is something out there :) that is playing in our pond. And "It", whatever "It" is, is really really big! We have alot of names for "It" and sometimes "It" says "Hello :)" to mankind. I can take religion out of our discussion, but as an open mind exploring "Nooks and Crannies" you are going to have to deal with, whatever "It" is, periodically showing up and saying "Hello :)

Ok?

God will not be Ignored :) He may sit quietly for a time, but He has created this mess and He has got to sort it out :) Whether we want it or not, God Himself, is a player and a "Mind" in our pond of "Minds at Play." Ok? Or prove me wrong. I don't mind.

Tuck, I was not asking anyone to give up their religion;I was merely asking for a moment of consideration of a saying at its stand-alone value.
I fail sometimes to remember that most people can not shake the bonds to mans religions for even a moment. I must try to remember this more often.

Some time ago I moved past the need for, what I consider, mans many invented methods of worshiping the unknown with organized religions.
Personal experienced situations gave rise to these observations.

That which we persist in calling god is indeed a "player."

"For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and have then fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him to open shame,"

I am in ignorance, and as long as I stay away from God or anything that has to do with Him or with His saints, "I am in a state of ignorance and can not be judged." :)

Legally before God, you have a case. If you don't say yes or no and don't accidently or on purpose abuse a saint. Crap, you are home free :) At least relative to being judged by God. And if you are kicking "booty" in this world of things and are happy about it :) God doesn't really need to be involved. He dosn't you know.

"The Book of Thomas" is considered one of the Lost Books of the Bible. The
Catholic Church Fathers left it out of what they considered Christian Scripture.

Of everything that has ever been written about Jesus by somebody who was there, that book is a kicker :) . Including the fact that Jesus as a child, was a handfull to His parents :) and the Jewish community that He lived in :) !

If you really want to understand Jesus as a human being and His message to us, as The Son of God (His Mother was also of virgin birth, Jesus was at least three quarters the Son of God) and as a gift as a Prophet/Master, "The Book of Thomas", is a good read. :) ,everything is in it. Everthing in one book.

There are church's that focus completely on the Grace. Which is what Jesus is about. There are some church's out there that are false, some have slipped away. For some reason Buddhists always like to point out whats wrong with Christian church's and then when you ask them the philosophy of the Christian church they get it bass ackwards.
Personally I don't have a clue why someone is a Buddhist. I'm pretty sure they're the same way about Christians.

The frame of mind, its Buddha in nature. minus the deity or plus if you're not Buddhist.

I'd say its possible if the mystic recognizes that they have been forgiven and enlighten by Jesus.

In essence thats what a Christian is, someone who has ultimately shaped their reality through God.

Afinertouch, reality is created as it is created :) that is what makes reality fun :) !

The sad and fun part Afinertouch, is that you are "insane", and you are really good at it. :) and most of what you know has been stolen from others. You are not and never will be origional.

And you have permission to be you as long as average folk can't keep up with you. The problem is that you have stepped into all Forums.net :) Non average is allowed to play.

Afinertouch you can not develope friends in a social reality. All forums.net is actually a social reality. Over time you can not win. In the mean time we will just milk you for activity. Activity is the life of a messageboard. Afinertouch you are a joke happening, and in the mean time you contribute to the life of the messageboard if folks are a tiny bit slick about it :)

When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay seige to that city. When the Lord your God delievers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the woman, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunders for yourselves... This is how you are to treat all the cities that are a distance for you and do not belong to the nations nearby. However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breaths. "3 Nāsatyas, wonder-workers, yours are these libations with clipt grass:

Dainties go good with grass.

"4 O Indra marvellously bright, come, these libations long for thee,
Thus by fine fingers purified."

Nothing better then some dainties, grass and libations by some fine fingers.

"6 Approach, O Indra, hasting thee, Lord of Bay Horses, to the prayers.

How about this one tuck?

"3 Dear Narāśaṁsa, sweet of tongue, the giver of oblations, I
Invoke to this our sacrifice."

More grass, but this grass drips with oil.

"5 Strew, O ye wise, the sacred grass that drips with oil, in order due,
Where the Immortal is beheld."

More sacrifice.

"6 Thrown open be the Doors Divine, unfailing, that assist the rite,
For sacrifice this day and now."

Sacrifice over grass.

"7 I call the lovely Night and Dawn to seat them on the holy grass
At this our solemn sacrifice."

Lovely peaceful grass.

"9 Iḷā, Sarasvatī, Mahī, three Goddesses who bring delight,
Be seated, peaceful, on the grass."

More sacrifice.

"12 With Svāhā pay the sacrifice to Indra in the offerer's house:
Thither I call the Deities."

They really love the grass.

"5 The sons of Kaṇva fain for help adore thee, having strewn the grass,
With offerings and all things prepared."

Time to take care of that cotton mouth.

"10 With all the Gods, with Indra, with Vāyu, and Mitra's splendours, drink,
Agni, the pleasant Soma juice."

Cotton mouth is gone, more sacrifice!

"11 Ordained by Manu as our Priest, thou sittest, Agni, at each rite:
Hallow thou this our sacrifice."

Time to blaze up.

"12 Harness the Red Mares to thy car, the Bays, O God, the flaming ones:
With those bring hitherward the Gods."
