I meant to start this thread before the week 1 games but I forgot...make your predictions!
AFC
East: Patriots
North: Ravens
South: Colts
West: Chargers
Wildcard: Jaguars, Bengals
NFC
East: Cowboys
North: Bears
South: Saints
West: 49ers
Wildcard: Panthers, Rams
Superbowl: Colts over Cowboys
AFC is wide open, I wouldn't be surprised if any of the division winners made it to the big dance...but I was really impressed how the Colts D shut down the high-powered Saints offense. So what the heck, I'm going with them for the repeat.
I'm still not sold on the NFC, only team that really impressed me in week 1 was the Cowboys and their defense got lit up by Eli...I am looking forward to seeing how the 49ers, Vikings, and the Cardinals all play as I think they can do some damage and fight for the playoffs.

Well, before the season my list would look almost identical to you, but now that one week is done I will base my predictions off of the week one results.
AFC
East: Patriots (no contest here)
North: Bengals (Ravens offense is horrible)
South: Colts (no contest here)
West: Chargers (Broncos will give them a run for their money)
Wildcard: Broncos, Steelers
NFC
East: Cowboys (eagles may come around and give them a run for their money)
North: Vikings (Bears offense is just horrible. Unless they get rid of "Wrecks" Grossman forget about it)
South: Saints (Carolina looked real good, we will see)
West: Seahawks (would like to pick my Niners but don't see then taking the division. "Wait 'till next year" again)
Wildcard: Bears, Panthers
Superbowl: Colts over Saints
AFC really comes down to the Pats, Colts and Chargers as the three to beat. This conference has some really strong second tier teams with the Broncos, Bengals, and Steelers ready to make the jump.
NFC is still the lower class conference. The best teams here are as good as the second tier teams in the AFC. There are some great offenses (Saints and Cowboys) and some great defenses (Bears and Panthers) but no one puts it all together like the Colts and Pats.

Well since my Texans don't have a snowball's chance in Hell, I will have to root for my second favorite team. LT and the Chargers!

Allright, I've got my predictions for the season...
AFC
North: Steelers - I know it was just Cleveland they were playing, but that offense looked very impressive. I thought about putting the Bengals here, but I saw an offensive collapse (of sorts) last night against the Ravens.
South: Colts - No-brainer here. Manning and the high-octane offense are just too good to pass on, especially after dismantling the Saints; another team picked to go far this year.
East: Patriots - Another no-brainer...lots of power on offense, solid defense, and a video camera on the opposing sideline is all you need.
West: Chargers - They are a balanced team with plenty of weapons. As long as Philip Rivers can get some momentum going and give us something other than the LT show every week (granted, I like the LT show).
Wild Card: Bengals celebrate in "Ocho Cinco" fashion, Broncos edge out the rest.
NFC
North: Vikings - I'm not saying this to be a homer or anything, but they've got a stacked defense, a solid running game, and a QB who at least is beginning to understand the mentality of the game. Packers have a weak offense, Detroit is rebuilding...still, and the bears won't get it done with Grossman at the helm.
South: Saints - Drew Brees just had a real bad night against the Colts...and I do mean bad. But I sense he'll bounce back and take his team to where they belong.
East: Cowboys - I have some concerns about their injury-riddled defense and Terry Glenn's absence, but the other teams...well, they just aren't playoff material to me.
West: Seahawks - It was down to either them or the 49ers. Ultimately, since the Seahawks have been playoff-tested and have a pretty stout defense, I chose them.
Wild card: Niners in full force, Bears squeak by
Super Bowl Picks
AFC: Colts return with a vengeance
NFC: Saints go marching in
Winner: Colts repeat, 31-24.

I was really thinking about going with the Vikings for one of the NFC wildcard slots but I wussed out and went with the more established Rams.
I really liked what I saw from the Ravens last night. I mean, they turned the ball over 6 times and still held the Bengals to 230 yards of total offense! That's fucking crazy! I think McNair still has something left in the tank and he won't have another meltdown like last night. Also, I think the Ravens realized how bad their play-calling was and will start giving the rock to McGahee more. (why they passed so much with Boller/struggling McNair, I'll never know) Despite all of this, they were a bad offensive pass interference/dropped pass from tying up the game IN Cincinnati.

The saints better hope the season opener doesnt become history repeating itself or losing by a touchdown would be mercy.
